Get the fathers to assist in their conditions and stop having an overload of children. The public should never be paying for the bad decisions and dependency and feelings of being owed everything they want just by existing. We have nurtured a society of beggars and cheats. Public birth control and abortion must be allowed and managed by our appropriate agencies.

I seem to remember that some time ago there were fears of 5G interfering with aircraft tower communications. I wonder whether this would also affect Unicom (122.8) and other communication bands regularly employed by pilots and ground, or whether this problem has been rectified.

This is a case of plp stupidity and insensitivity once again in capital letters. There should be nothing built on our wellfields. If this is a project needed, then go further west. Also the incomprehensible idea of using any connection to the China Export-Import bank should be discarded and permanently abandoned.

Too true. They must be mandated to stay overnight with all onboard amenities closed and to make that stop in Nassau or Freeport before heading off to their ‘private’ money grabbing islands.

On Cruise ships get too much advantage

All the past few governments have done is to give away the country and its livelihood to foreign mega companies who run laughing to their banks and leaving the Bahamian business with less and less except higher taxes. Cruise ships must be mandated to stay overnight in Nassau and Freeport and shut down their on board businesses entirely during their mandated time in port. That would give a huge impetus to the Bahamian businesses and coffers.

truetruebahamian says...

It is true that the political class has let us down particularly over the last three administrations and have allowed what was unique to be strangled by these monster foreign companies. The taxing regime has further weakened our position, allowing banks to close out in the islands and bending to the greedy whims of the cruise companies with no regard to our bahamian businesses which should be first in line as long as they adhere to past proven models. Also as said, we are not a Caribbean country, we never were and never will be.
