I have been pushing to dump Minnis since the rally to replace him with Sands and Butler Turner. He is out of his league and needs to be replaced. His performance and lack of understanding has pronounced that need even more forcefully.
One of the largest contributors to world problems as they are is the propensity for certain sectors to overbreed, ignore wise family planning and expect everyone else to pay for their profligate actions. When unable to feed or cloth themselves and their vast herd of children they will blame everyone but themselves and their feeling that they have the right to over reproduce. The strain on food, medicine and the diminishing resources of every kind is palpable. If two brothers have equal money, the one with two children will be able to educate feed and cloth their family adequately. The other with eight or ten children wil find his resources stretched too far. Emnity developes and jealousy and blame is cast. Responsibility is what is needed for all sectors everywhere - this is our only world, only we can keep it if using a healthy degree of common sense and planning.
Downtown property taxes will have to be forgiven/cancelled as there has been no business - only expenses that have drained the reserves of the property owners. Businesses there are either directly or indirectly dependent upon the tourism factor and have been dead for what will soon be half of the year. Insurances the same too. Government will have to tax itself as that is the only functioning money making entity.
Stupid minnis short orders that make no sense. I commend everyone for following previous rules and if the 'competent authority' changes his rules on the fly, screw him!
I only hope that when property tax comes time that the buildings on Bay Street and Woodes Rogers walk will not be charged as there has been no rent coming in, only meager savings to cover maintenance and some limited lighting in the public areas
