You've got to go sometime - there are few situations when you are going to know ahead of time. Perhaps one must be appreciative of that fact and in some form acquire a mental preparedness. We lost a son, we have learned that not every plan has a guaranteed contingency. We are a little more wary, humble and appreciative of the fact that sometimes the unplanned and unexpected will happen. We still miss our son and always will, regardless of the factors that when put together killed him. If we could change things we would, but that is fantasy. Perhaps no blame can be attributed - events just do happen which are outside and beyond our scope of control.
Please help others, the scourge continues and the pit of dependency without support continues. A young grandmother must sweat to earn her living - her daughter barely 20 years of age like so many others without a known father for her four month now being along in an unwanted but there it is pregnancy, must bear another sad and unwanted child? repetition of disdain, ignorance and disrespect at the financial doors of those of us who can barely afford our own planned and married financial planning, and which other burden can be well outside the scope of reality if charged with the rearing, schooling, feeding and schooling of another's recklessly conceived baby
Observer should widen his/her scope of planning, resoucefuless and reasoning. Nothing is old perceived political race and bait blame, it is for best advantage to the nation - with every corner explored, every I dotted and T crossed - with no advantage to politically associated individuals no matter how many times removed from your targeted source.
How about respect for honesty and decency - law and order, and NOT participating in dumping illegally. People are so disgusting and care nothing for anyone but their own greedy thieving dumping selves.
Maybe some, but not most. It is so wrong and so easy to blame the ones who we were told to blame. The old early settlers were farmers and boat builders, not slave owners. Easily attributed hatred is like a scatter gun, it hits more innocents than those deserving of scrutiny.
Actually Columbus had nothing to do with slavery. Read two enlightening books - Search for Jerusalem and his own writings - Christopher Columbus the four voyages. These are factual and scholarly researched, not some knee jerk blame thrown out without truth or merit.
I love when these meritorious thinkers and comment contributers show their wisdom and assinine depths of understanding. Empty barrels and always the same ones.
the bahamas has such amazing starquest internationally competitive dance winners! unless it is track and field or baseball, they are given no congratulations or acknowledgement. time for us to broaden our horizons and admit that there is more than usa sports that make a difference in our country. open your eyes, bahamas, we are bahamian and not all what you think has to be an attitude, particular sport or skin colour to be bahamian!
