And here was me thinking it might be expensive to buy. At such low, low, low, prices I think I'll get two or three.

What a misleading headline. The only claim I can see is that "the SLS Lux at Baha Mar" has 50% occupancy - no mention of the unfinished Rosewood and other properties. What is the occupancy rate for Baha Mar as a whole........or must we wait until 2021 when everything will hopefully be finished?

Unlike many others, I will read all of your posts but usually I do not comment or reply. It is your right to say what you think, even when I vehemently disagree with you.

However, in this instance, you are factually wrong and have been wrong every time you impugn both these institutions.. As has been pointed out in the past to you, dividends are and have been paid. It is a fact that can be easily verified by either going to the BISX website, or being a shareholder of these entities. For GBP shares to be "worth nothing" is also a fallacious statement - if this were the case, then GB would surely be without power? Why would a utility company continue to provide its services when it is worthless? Surely it would only be digging a deeper grave for itself !!......Please, I beg you, do not re-post your comments like this in the future. It only makes persons even more skeptical of your other musings.

Several times "corporate clients" were mentioned. Their individual-client customer service was so bad that I had to change banks.

While we are going through the "discovery stage" of just how bad the mess left by the PLP is, I will give the new government the benefit of the doubt.

But very soon we will need to see how they plan to REDUCE spending, tighten up on wasted resources and monies, and eliminate fat cat contracts and unnecessary government personnel. The only positive news we have had in the last 6 weeks was that $900,000 was going to be cut from the Independence Day celebrations - was this achieved?

**"CCA Fearing Baha Mar Opening"**

That's the day when the world will see just what a shithole we have been saddled with after our Chinese overlords have completed their "construction" and the first negative blogs and customer reviews start to surface

Ministry of Foreign Affairs should be another one inspected, so that we might know exactly what was spent in our name when Mitchell and his cronies were jetsetting around the world first class, and what tangible benefits he ever brought to the country. Hell, we may as well go the whole hog, and attach a permanent team of forensic auditors as part of the American Embassy.

**Quote “Tourism did not approve it, I don’t know where this is coming from,” Mr Wilchcombe said when contacted by this newspaper. "Local government approved it, they have the authority in the Family Islands.”**

Interesting take from the ex-Minister of Tourism. Can we conclude from his denial of any involvement that each island acts autonomously when making tourism-related decisions? His words would seem to indicate that this is the case. Just another example of the shambles that was the PLP I guess.

Oh.....wait......no that isn't the correct assumption AT ALL. It's just another pathetic attempt at avoiding any responsibility or accountability. Silly me for thinking that the ex-minister would tell the truth about anything

Whilst I agree with your sentiments, our former MoFF made it perfectly clear that he regarded the US as our enemy. So they did what you would expect - stayed away from helping us with any foreign aid packages (although technicians did come over to help BEC after Hurricane Matthew, there was no direct financial assistance). It is time for the new government to ask for assistance from any and all countries who might be able to help us overcome the many economic and societal problems we are saddled with after the disastrous PLP mismanagement of our country. Forensic accountants, experts in the field of alternative energy, policing, national security, aviation and marine, fisheries.....the list is a long one. Our population, the equivalent of a small suburb of Miami, cannot realistically be expected to have all the technical and intellectual answers, especially when we have to spread the infrastructure over many small islands
