I definitely don't want to be in Marsh Harbour the day they go into the mud or pigeon pea.

I'm having serious doubts that the Bahamas a a country can withstand 2+ more years of this worthless government.

Then, even if the one of the other two parties gets elected, I have little faith that they will be able to do anything of note to get the country headed back in the right direction.

Don't you mean no accountability for anyone involved in any goverment division? Do as you like and get a raise and big retirement too.

I read this last night, laughing the whole time, thinking, I must be dreaming, this can't be a serious post.

Guess I was wrong.

When I think of BEC employees running the generation plants I can't help but picture Homer Simpson running things.

Is this article accurate? Why do we need a new generator in Abaco?

It's 100% incompetence from everyone involved with BEC. Sure there are some good employees that do the best they can under difficult circumstances, but the whole company is a giant cluster !@#$.

I feel sorry for whoever gets the position next time. I have my doubts that the country can survive another three years of the current mess.

The power in Abaco has been going off for hours at a time for as long as I can remember. Sometimes daily. Every time there's a rain storm, the power goes out. Every year there are many first time tourists that are so pissed off, they vow never to return. I can't blame them either. What does it cost for a family of 4 to travel to Abaco, stay for a week + with car/golf cart, boat, eating out, etc, $10,000 easily? Then suffer daily with no power? I can't say I blame them.
How many millions did they spend to give us a new power plant and they still can't keep the power on!
Where are our consultants to get Abaco's power sorted out? We're paying outrageous amounts to BEC and they can't provide even a decent power supply.

People of Nassau go without power for a couple hours for a couple days and everyone want's heads to roll.

whybahamas says...

Please don't tell me they made it all the way to Abaco without anyone seeing or stopping them.
Why Abaco? Why not just go to Florida? Is Abaco now more desirable than Florida or is it just that much easier to get to Abaco?
