Time to consider another industry for Grand Bahama. It IS dead. I can't fathom how people are managing to wait around for the tourists to come with no product there.
Turn Grand Bahama into a tech centre. Retrain people's minds to forget about relying on tourism. The time for changing the mind set of service/sales industry is now.
BPL Chairwoman Darnell Osborne seems to know this is a problem and let she and all the management at BPL/BEC has allowed money to be left on the table by corrupt, thieving employees. Management and board **should all be fired.** **Immediately**. Stop taking food outta my children's mouths. Convict. Give a s$@t about regular Bahamians who **do** pay their bills (and have to work extra hard and long to do it).
And these are the same people who will take office under the guise of "serving their country". This is among the top DISservices that a public officer can commit - holding the people's money, contributing to the exorbitant cost of electricity and cronyism. Disgusted...
.... curfew.... If Bahamians are going to act like feral, out of control children who can't manage a dispute without violence, then they need a curfew.
