BEC will stay on all summer.

Dump fire is out - wait, that lie has already been proclaimed.

I think that the Carnival should be scrapped altogether until this government can properly sort out their spending. We should be acting like a low income family with a huge mortgage that just lost their jobs. Save, scrimp, cover the debt and eat tuna from a can. However, postponing it now only costs more money - on the backs of people who have made plans, bought equipment and spent in anticipation of this date. Another example of stupid logic.

What's the point of trying to enjoy a life here. Get in your house behind grilled windows and battened down doors. Run to your cars and lock em. Don't stop at at red lights. Don't jog anywhere. Get robbed and and raped by your fellow citizens. Get robbed and raped by your government. Nassau needs a good razing like old growth forests to clear out the disease to make room for fresh healthy life.

"The imminent Baha Mar opening and general election has intensified pressure on the Government to resolve the landfill’s woes". Exactly. Politics. Not real life governance.

This RFP initiative is simply a political tactic to add more smoke and attempt to show that this government gives a $hi# about its citizens. This ministry should have had this fire out by now if it really cared. Good leadership would have done corrective action immediately then preventative. Also. WTH Tribune?!? How bout reporting on how truly serious this dump inaction is? "Affecting Jubilee Gardens and other neigbourhoods"? Damn thing is still burning and poisoning families. Aquinas College should be immediately shut. Lyford Cay School shut just this week again miles from the dump. So sick of this -literally!! Your RFP is millions of dollars short and five years late. Stalling and trying to appear transparent makes you look worse.

You're dead right on that one! And the government should:
1. pay for housing for displaced people until it's sorted out
2. should stop lying saying it's nearly out
3. stop treating people like fools

While I support "new blood" and this guy seems passionate enough, I can't support with someone who glorifies or uses the term "gang bang" as part of his public speech. Surely there are some actual B+ at the minimum potential candidates? We're going no where fast - except further into hell with this country. No hope.

What a joke. Saving the reputation and integrity of The Bahamas?? Unless he means its reputation for crooks, corruption and all out chaos at all levels, the reputation of The Bahamas by Bahamians and non-Bahamians is exactly what it deserves. This broken country has gone past the point of no return. Too many no-brain half-humans who don't give a s&$@ about the s$&@hole they live in. Integrity? I'm laughing my a$$ off.

The 95% who are staying in their homes deserve what they get. How stupid do you have to be to stay where you are clearly being poisoned - and allow your children to be poisoned and choked! They should all camp on their MPs or PMs or MInister of Environmental Health's front yard till they can go back home properly. It's a f:($&)g nightmare out there.

Doubt it. Another corrupt quasi government agency.
