Ugh. This has nothing to do with immigrants, stop defending horrid behavior from this person. The turtles are an endangered breed of animal, and does a lot of wonders of this ecosystem. This comparison is stupid.
This person understands the threat at hand, gangs are a constant threat, yet everyone point fingers at Haitians again while gangsters commit month-long massacres. The police are paralyzed and the Navy is pacified. Both Joeblow and SP can't even feel the risks of losing our tourism project to armed thugs, yet Haitians are parasites? Give me a break. Tourists are more threatened by gangsters, not by Haitians.
Bahamians weren't forced into this, the damned Medellin Cartel started all of this mess. Bahamians CHOSE to be drug-runners and murderers, gangs are protected by cartels and the PLP alliance. Bahamians chose to be the bad guys to punk out of being an honest citizen. This place is nearly a narco-state, and nearly 3,000 Bahamians lie dead from 30 years without avenging their deaths. We're losing and dying, the Haitians are secondary. We can deport them, it's just that we're on the damn wrong issues.
From blaming foreigners for standing up for rape victims of horrid criminals, to calling Haitians parasites, to the Oban deal and other successful ventures that foreigners rightfully worked for in this country. We're completely blind sided. That's the truth. We allowed what is a street war and allowing gangsters to commit that is basically genocide. This person had the courage to speak out on a more dire matter. It's either we keep tourism together or allow the drug cartels to enslave us all.
What does this have to do with marital matters now?
That's why there's a line between reasonable and absolute madness, as it does help the separation of church and state in the Bahamas, and it could help us figure out this mess. Plus, that second coming is also doomsday for all of us. Bahamians should stop using that scare tactic because that doesn't help our situation, plus the world is still beautiful, enjoy it while you're still alive.
I know no one wants this, but at the end of the day. Criminals are violating the veil of marriage for their own personal gain. You may not hear about these cases in the Bahamas, but it happens. Marital Rape exists, even God had predicted this because of Mankind's own dark ambitions.
Why people are opposing it is because of the Christian Zealots under the Roman Catholics wants power over the weak and defenseless, such as non-Christian religions and women themselves. They mold the truth from the Bible for their infamous gains, and it still works to this same day. We're being tricked. If we had the true original Bible, Men and Women in marriages are equals in leadership and respects each others' wishes. That is how a marriage is supposed to work.
Huh.. Before they are taken into custody, interrogate them to find out about their friends in the gangs and the police and the DEA should be able to find a major player in the Nassau street wars. Keep doing that, and the gangs are in trouble soon enough.
SP is just another example of how the Aspect of Fear is controlling Bahamians at the pinnacle of whatever false conspiracy that is circulating, I'm sorry, but I had to tell you this. So apparently dealing with Haiti means that we're selling out? Not really, diplomatic meetings are meant to strengthen countries, and now Haiti is blacklisted? Both sides need to put an end to this so-called "silent invasion" that is being said on social media. Haitians aren't invaders, because they're too busy surviving, and even then. They don't have the money to commit such an act.
Haitians to me aren't even a threat, even if they are, it's a minor issue. The fear and hatred should have been directed at criminal gangs that are physically killing us, and threatening the Bahamas to destroy the tourism product. To usher a new age of a narco-state, and to enslave us into the drug wars against our allies. We should be calling for the government and the US Federal agencies to enforce an iron hold on the gangs, and enhance our police and Navy to combat the threat.
From this point, Haitians are the least of our concerns at this point. Most of them don't even bring gangsters or guns into the country, and if they do, we do the job of taking care of the matter. Our gangsters have been responsible for the thousands of deaths from the 80's, Haitians are worried about this place as well. Put down the fears of immigrants, and set your sights on gangsters.
In fact, to prove John's point about Bahamians wrong is that they sold their only chance for redemption out the window is that Carlos was the co-founder of the Medellin Cartel in Columbia, yet Lynden screwed us over and allowed him to reside in the Bahamas for a few years, and it was enough to bring those criminal gangs to greater heights. Any gangster belonging to a gang is sanctioned, no one is allowed to arrest them, but arrest the lone-wolf murderers that only kills once. Now we're destined for the Age of the Cartel, unless someone is willing to remove the shadows that plague Nassau.
But back to this. I approve about abolishing beatings in both the household and schools, as this doesn't do anything valuable today. Keep beating kids, yet they will end up as criminals still. I would like how America or Northern European countries do parenting. No beatings, and still many kids end up as great model citizens. Now in the Bahamas, it's perfectly dis-functional. Beatings aren't love no matter what context it is in. That sounds like psychological confusion at best, and crude at worse. It may had worked with a previous small group of Bahamians. It's not working anymore today. Parents need to put down their belts and find another method that doesn't involve whipping the hell out of them. This land is a ancient narco-state that recruits kids instead of the government recruiting them for being role models.
