FNM/PLP same shit different day.
DNA is not appealing to me either, either these guys do a coalition and stop doing crap or other parties such as the Gatekeepers, which also don't appeal to me with that theocracy crap, or the BCP will eat up their potential candidates. It's almost like these campaigns are run by rank amateurs who follow the lazy example of pathetic governments that came before them Rallies, rum, T-shirts and a couple of dollars won't work anymore, adapt or die

What they are doing is dangerous. If they appeal and win, which they will, they will set the precedent that parliamentary privilege Trumps the supreme law of the land, the protections afford by the constitution. But We are a country that's against constitutional changes so IDGAF. Sieg Heil Mein Führer Christie!

coming from the man that said black people a stupid, a man that stated that fat black women are the worst, a man that suggested lesbians and the gays be banished to a uninhabited island, a man that spoke out against the referendum then endorsed it the day after in a video, then again denounced it after it was shot down despite the fact that he voted for it in parliament?
This is the same man that spoke about the greed of BEC promising the Bahamian people that he would NOT pay out christmas bonuses only to grant that bonuses less than 24 hours later.
Mr. Miller STFU please, how much do you still owe BEC and Water and Sewage? Also considering you yourself are a part of the single worst administration in this country's history... I lump Mr. Miller and Lightbourn into the exact same camp of bigotry and ignorance

So what of the men that father these children and absolutely refuse to take responsibility? Of but obvious it must solely be the woman's fault, in a country where more than 60% of families are fatherless. Also abortion is illegal, which it shouldn't be, but we are a "christian nation," whatever that means.

Rollins' political career is over. I don't think it's lack of character, he was complete garbage as an MP for Ft Charlotte. I can't even tell you one time where his constituency office was open. He has some of my respect for bowing out after his numerous political blunders, he said he wouldn't seek nomination in this case and did just that. Look a Duane "can't win an election" Sands, complete are and went back on his word. Are most of our former and current politicians Frauds? yeah pretty much, so was Ingraham. But, atlas he kept his word here, although defeat at the polls is inevitable.

On Rollins: I won't run for FNM

Atleast he kept his word, although politically he was rather dubious as a politician, this one move has more character than our entire political system.

Seems like we have avoided setting a precedent that the parliamentary privilege trumps the constitution. Make him pay then vote him out. He should be going to jail, for what he neglected to d in marathon....

Alex_Charles says...

the whole thing could have been avoided if Minnis wasn't such an asshat the first time around telling Loretta to run against him or get fired. That one incident highhandedly fked that entire party. I do not Trust the FNM and I despise this current PLP administration.

Alex_Charles says...

The FNM's fate is all but sealed. This is the time when Independents and outsiders will probably get in. From people calling for a Theocracy to people calling for there to be a constitutional amendment to put the bible into constitution. All the roaches will crawl out of the holes. The time for establishment politics is over, I just hope Bahamians think with logic and sound reasoning when we elect the next bunch into office. If not This country will fail and the economy will self destruct and implode. This country is literally on the cusp of ruin.

Qatar, despite their appealing human rights record and laws and religious practices against women and foreigners, got it right. More than half of their population is comprised on internationals who are extremely high skilled, what they do is train/educate their citizens to replace every single expat working in these positions, in many cases the expats train the replacements. of our economic and social situations are way different, but the concept is simple. Competition through liberalized importation of high skilled labour and protectionism with the employment of your own people work.
