This frightens me enormously. I just do not understand a) how anyone can make jokes about this! & b) why there isn't a much more alarmed response to the whole scenario!!? I truly thank you Nicole for your comments on those reporters, on both our News broadcasts, but particularly 12, with their asinine laughing all over the politicians they are supposed to be interviewing on very serious matters. Haven't they heard the word professionalism? Where do they get their training? Do they have any? Birdie do you think they may be anti FNM? Would that explain it?

Talk about distraction!! How did the subject go from computerisation of the Road Traffic Dept. to minimum wage!! ?? Does anyone have any idea of how long this modernisation has been talked about?. I have been going to RTD for 44years and it has only deteriorated over that period of time. And this is the third biggest money maker for the country? My heart aches for the terrible working conditions of the staff there. I know of a Bahamian computer company that had put in proposals to modernise the Dept on at least 3 occasions over a possible 25year period and each time their proposal was rejected in favour of someone else. Whatever happened to those companies? and now they are dealing with a NZ company - Bahamianisation at all cost - once again - NO!

I heard the AG say tonight, on both the evening news sections, that Bahamar employees were being paid out of the Taxpayers money - therefore it would be highly inappropriate to pay the expat salaries from the same source!!! (She was told that by some voter!!) Do our Govt ministers even talk to each other to actually know what is going on?? and I wish we didn't see the so-called independent news reporters laughing & joking with the ministers they are supposed to be interviewing. It is just so very unprofessional!!
