Mr.Christie is not being truthful. This has happened on his watch. This has been going on since the Bahamas got internal self-government.It is called clientelism. It is where you trade contracts and favours for political support. It also happen under the FNM also.I was at a family gathering when somebody bragged how a senior FNM cabinet minister instructed the chairman of a government corporation to give a contact to the company,he worked for.The acting financial secretary should know about that,he use to work there.
What. Again some one attempting to smuggle drugs into the prison.I don't support the smuggling of contraband into the prison. However the Bahamas needs to decriminalise the possession of small amounts of marijuana for personal use. Too many persons are imprisoned and have criminal records for possession of minor amounts of marijuana.
There needs to be a higher level of civic education and engagement with Bahamians about having a clean environment. This my hero program is a good idea. I hope that it will be sustainable.
A country of ostriches. These problems should been addressed from the days of Sir Lynden Pindling. All bahamians do is talk and pretend that these problems will go away on their own. They just get bigger and more difficult to solve.
A proper bus system is long overdue on the island of New Providence. It should have been in place from the nineteen sixties when the population began to move south of Wulff Road. It would improve the quality of life on the island.
The first two members of the committee has be named. They will take a while to produce a report. It will then be debated by cabinet and maybe or not policies about marijuana may changed.Meanwhile Jamaica this week send its first shipment of cannabis oil to Canada. They also have licensed a medical marijuana dispensary in Montego Bay.Man we so far behind this and other matters ,it een funny.
He is completely unqualified and unsuited for this position. He is just like the acting financial ssecretary. Payback for services during the election. The FNM party have their cronies just like the PLP. I am increasingly dismayed by the direction and actions of this government.
