A proper bus system is long overdue on the island of New Providence. It should have been in place from the nineteen sixties when the population began to move south of Wulff Road. It would improve the quality of life on the island.
The first two members of the committee has be named. They will take a while to produce a report. It will then be debated by cabinet and maybe or not policies about marijuana may changed.Meanwhile Jamaica this week send its first shipment of cannabis oil to Canada. They also have licensed a medical marijuana dispensary in Montego Bay.Man we so far behind this and other matters ,it een funny.
He is completely unqualified and unsuited for this position. He is just like the acting financial ssecretary. Payback for services during the election. The FNM party have their cronies just like the PLP. I am increasingly dismayed by the direction and actions of this government.
Many historical buildings on the island of New Providence have been lost to redevelopment and neglect.Harold Christie's home on East Street is a prime example.Bahamians don't know and appreciate their history. Compare the old city of Nassau to the old city of Havana. The Cubans are restoring buildings in the old city. They realize the importance of their old city to their tourism p industry.
A unified public transportation system is overdue on the island of New Providence by at the least forty years. We should had this system on this island from the 1960 's.
There is a shortage of officers and seamen world wide. I have relatives who after graduating from maritime college in the US,were able to quickly secure well paying jobs on ships.Bahamians are not taught much about job options and life beyond these islands. This is especially true in the government schools when, I was in school. It was only government jobs and hotel jobs.
