What do you expect? The man is unqualified for the position he holds. A business man who supports the FNM told me that a few weeks ago. He told me the previous FS knew what he was doing.
Phiilip Davis can't speak on this matter. He misled parliament over the contractor for Bamsi insurance. He should have resigned then. For the PLP to be relevant again, he and the crew need to step down and go away. Better yet,the PLP should just disband.
All of the properties transferred to resolve should be put for sale.If the assets are sold for less than the loan amount, a judgement should be obtained against these person's other assets. All efforts have to be expended to recover these funds. The poor , working class and average bahamian can no longer carry the load for the folly, greed ,theft and mismanagement of a priveleged few.
This is nothing new.Under Prime Minister Ingraham, all bahamian students who passed 5 BGCSE's with C grades and above were allowed to attend COB then on scholarships. This will be paid out of the taxes, fees levied onand paid by bahamians. Bahamians love to be bribed with with their own tax dollars.
The island of New Providence needed a unified public transportation from at least the 1960's.This country is so backwards in many ways.I blame the selfish ,short-sighed politicians.
A lot of Turnquest' arguments don't make sense.I support their attempt to balance the budget. But I don''t think it is feasible to do within three years. He also can't say of better yet know the impact of this attempt on the economy.

They should have never disbanded the revenue enhancement unit at inland revenue. They need to curtail recurrent expenditure. They need to sell or close some government corporations. They need to privatize some services provided by government. Example residential waste management.Have civil servants contribute to their pension .Have a very focused effort to collect real property tax.Johnson's appointment as FS should never have been done.
