As per usual, things will only change when there is massive loss of life. My heart goes out to them on one hand, but on the other, the ones that are here illegally...shouldn't be here.

So the very same experts who came out with the earth shattering comment that VAT implementation would go much more smoothly if the opposition backed it and showed their support did not meet with the opposition. Man...I'm in the wrong business...I need to call myself an expert consultant and get paid millions to do what I do worst at.

I like Bran's comment...there is no letter in the alphabet to grade them with at this point...goes beyond F...beyond Z

Education in general...you keep seeing the posters and sayings up on social media, teachers were respected, and feared, and if you got sent home with a note or a bad grade, chances are your parents would whoop you harder and knock some sense into you, now it's all about me, and my child is the perfect angel and the teacher is dragged over the coals for even suggesting that the child was out of order or did not study and failed a test. Our whole society has failed at least the current generation of high school drop outs (I don't dare call them graduates...they just left a day care center at 12th grade). I've got kids in the education system now and nearly every day I look at the lack of discipline in the classroom and the lack of proper structure, and shake my head...and my kids are in a high end private school...don't get me started about our public schools.

Yeap. Assuming the forensics are handled on the equipment properly, the only information that should be gleaned off of any of those machines should be BoB related...but you KNOW...especially with the PLP pulling the strings on this one, that they are going to rape those laptops of any and all information for their political gain. It's too tempting for them not to...it's a done deal, PLP top brass have probably already hacked into those machines for every other reason except BoB business. The whole thing stinks. Like stated before...they seem more concerned about finding who is leaking apparently factual information, than trying to stop the problems and abuse within BoB in the first place. They know they've been caught and busted misusing funds in there, so now it is a witch hunt to find the source of the leak and plug it so they can carry on behind close doors with their illegal activities.

...I just spewed coffee all over my keyboard...the PM is a joke. Sadly, crime is not. This freight train wreck of a government is putting every citizen of this country, more so in Nassau, at risk of life and limb. Epic epic failures on all fronts.

Pretty sad state of affairs. 11 bux a month...that's just a slap in the face. Please, go fight on behalf of our country...in exchange, we will give you a pension of 2.50 a week. Even at 1945 rates, 11 bux a month is SAD. Mind you, it's not just us, I know the US Vet's are seriously neglected for the most part as well.

Whatever you do boy, you just better fall in line and agree with the government, you just gonna make things difficult if you oppose it. So let's not go down that path, just follow me, I know what I am doing!! bull crap

While I disagree with this man on many many fronts, and my distaste of unions is no big secret, one thing I will have to say, and both governments are notoriously terrible with it, is renewing or reworking these industrial agreements. If you end up unionized...heaven help you if you do, you can't just let an agreement lapse for months, or in some cases even years. Now...if you are just delaying, and delaying, that is one thing and should not be tolerated, if the union is pushing to radically change the contract to the detriment of the company, and the two sides are actively discussing things, that is another matter, but get the dang agreement sorted out. That's when people start to get pissed off. One BIG elephant in the room is Obie's jab at foreign entities 'coming into the Bahamas' as a shell company and leaving people high and dry when they fold. Let's not forget how a PLP stalwart who bought a major grocery chain and ran it into the ground left hundreds of Bahamian employees without their just wages. But that's OK...he's Bahamian, we won't hold him to the same standard, we will just come down hard on the expats. In the meantime, let's see what government money can get padded back into the baby tiger's pockets by scheming to by a defunct building for millions of dollars that should be leveled anyways.
