This is good!! We need to get that tie in back into the grid finalized and encourage people to start taking some of the load off of BPL and the tired generators.
My big problem there is we have an under utilized national stadium here in Nassau as it is...are you planning on spending money on infrastructure up in Freeport to then end up using our stadium even less down here? While we are at it...get Road Traffic sorted out and get them the heck out of that stadium and use it for the purpose it was intended!!
Major flaw in attracting boats to his marina, that stretch of water on the south side from Palm Cay to Seabreeze is incredibly shallow, unless you dredge a channel a mile out, larger yachts will have a hard time getting in and out.
...and right here lies the problem...any HONEST individual will get the runaround, have to present all articles of incorporation, tax compliance certificates, etc, etc, to be eligible to conduct business for or on behalf of the government...but then you have this...
"#He said two of Mr Ash’s companies were not registered with the Registrar General and one was registered only in February.
#That the companies were not registered is irrelevant, Mr Davis said yesterday, adding that Dr Minnis was “grasping at straws.”
#“It’s not necessary to have a registered company to do business,” he said. “It’s necessary to have a business license and to be compliant with taxes. He has those items so he could do business.”"
Red, yella or green...fire any and all involved AND press criminal charges...we need to stop this practice in this country of coercing corporate thieves to resign or just fire them without the follow through. charge them!!
Again, I'd love to keep the local manufacturing...but at what cost, the people are broke, so we are going to put up a protective tariff so that we can get local manufactured product up on the shelf at a higher price to the consumer...instead of letting the consumer benefit from lower costs on the store shelf. The flip side of course is if there are no jobs, there is no income...round and round we go...

Go ahead and tax the juices across the board with a 'sin tax'...but that should apply to ALL drink manufacturers, including the locals brands.
