What am I missing … those that can afford a Private Plane can not afford (or don't want) to pay a $50 Entry Fee?!?

Dare I say I “don’t want to” pay my $2 PI Bridge Toll, but I pay it!

I wonder if this approach will work next time I take the Florida Turnpike?!?

At the outset of this awful news, it would have been far fetched to wonder if Sandals could survive this unfortunate tragedy, as at the end of the day, accidents happen, including ones caused by negligence resulting in death, but after 3 weeks of no answers forthcoming or evasive statements “at best” … I am not so sure, as both trust and credibility are lost making the idea of the Brand’s signature vacation pitch based on “romance” hard to resurrect if a couple renewing their vows can end up both dead at an “all inclusive” Resort without timely explanation.

Baha10 says...

The PR disaster continues … clearly neither Sandals nor our Government have engaged any form of Crisis Management resulting in much regrettably speculation of “cover up” threatening not just Sandals’ reputation as a “safe and responsible” Resort Group, but also our Country as a “safe and responsible” Tourist Destination.

Bottom line is these unfortunate Visitors died “on property” at an “all inclusive” Resort that should have been immediately “closed” by the Ministry of Health until “conclusive” Answers as to what occurred have been determined.

Baha10 says...

Now both a Legal and PR Disaster … obvious negligence given the facts speak for themselves … followed by inexcusable delay in confirming what was suspected immediately upon discovery of dead bodies … made only worse by not immediately shutting down Resort for health reasons pending outcome of investigation … indeed, lucky there are not more dead given continued business as usual operation of Resort.

Our Ministry of Antiquities would (instead of sitting around doing nothing) commission the construction of full size replicas of the “Santa Maria”, “Nina” and “Pinta” … to be anchored off shore from a fully functional Lucayan Village connected by row boats and authentic dug out canoes with both the Spanish and the Indians in full costume … this would be something San Salvador could be proud to showcase to the World and in turn, worth visiting!

Amazing how we want to vilify Columbus on the one hand yet profit off him on the other … need to just accept History as it is and recognize the unique place our Country holds in History as a result, which in turn does absolutely provide our Country with a tremendous opportunity to exploit financially, as whatever one’s personal view, he remains the “greatest” known Explorer of All Time.

Going to be hard to offer an explanation to his “next” Victim as to why Society failed to protect!

Baha10 says...

This is not good … and the delay even worse … hopefully the Resort is at least now temporarily closed pending outcome.

The “classic” is the BPL sever weather warning ended at 9:45pm Friday night about half an hour before the “real” deluge started for remainder of the night, which was clearly shown on Weather Radar accessible by any smart phone accessing Internet!
