Freeport has become too big of a problem to fix … smart money would close down tourism all together and turn it into purely an industrial island with 10x BORCOs, Buckeyes, Equinos, OBANs and exploit its unique geographical location … but after 49 years we do not seem to be “smart”.
Restrictive Covenants are just that … Covenants … assuming properly imposed … and mutually enforceable by other Lot Owners … irrespective of Town Planning … very simple legal stuff.
Appears to be “yet another” non-sensical ruling by this Judge … only question being who and in what context was the Attorney provided with the forged Cheques, which is for whatever reason not mentioned, but would seem “very” relevant?!?
The quality of “The Tribune’s” reporting of the past few years bears little resemblance to what was once a “great” Newspaper … lack of investigative research and outright ignorance leading to inaccurate misinformation is the least of the issues, salacious and defamatory “paid for” reporting at the behest of clandestine special interests to promote propaganda in furtherance of private agendas is far more concerning.
Both the BORCO and South Riding Rock Terminals are 50+ years old … OBAN proposed the most modern facility in the Hemisphere, but Politics got in the way and cost The Bahamas the largest investment in the Caribbean … not to mention protection against the current Energy Crisis by having the largest storage facility in the Region … oh well, who needs high paying jobs and low electricity and gas prices when you have mounting National Debt serviced by Sunshine and Rum!
