Not good “optics” when someone gets a Licence in compliance with the Law and then once “Treasure” Site is identified after considerable research … followed by actual “Treasure” recovered after considerable additional risk and expense … we seek to change the terms of the agreed deal.

I suppose the only way this makes sense is if we are going to take all the information shared in confidence with the Government over the years and now as a Country enter the “Treasure” business as the “exclusive” Salvager … again, not good “optics”, but at least consistent with our Piratical History!

Does this reporting make sense?

“The family is aware of the cause of death as a result of the investigation, as a result of the coroner’s assessment and the other toxicology report.”

vs

Mr. Cooper told reporters he cannot confirm if the coroner report was released to the families of the victims.

Perhaps a worse realization to consider is if Oban had not become politicized we would have have the largest Bulk Oil Storage Facility in the Caribbean, which could have been filled with Oil below $15+/- a Barrel in 2020, as opposed to current $120+/- … and still increasing🤯

Reporting makes no sense … Government Complex and Hospital “already” exist (albeit without Doctors, Nurses and Medical Supplies to actually function. I also doubt this “idea” was a “gift”, but assuming it was, I would scrutinize carefully given the much touted and completely unused North Abaco Port that was built at tremendous expense to the Bahamian people while the actual “used” Port in Marsh Harbour remains in shambles since the passing of “Dorian”.

Rather than worry about further price gouging, the Industry needs to desperately be regulated with matching colored multi-passenger Cars of an identical model type maintained to a certain standard … with Meters.

The damage done from the dragging Anchors of all the Cruise Ships that threw anchor within our territorial waters for “free” during the Pandemic caused extreme damage to our Reefs that took hundreds, if not thousands, of years to develop … and for which we received $0.00 compensation!

Ban the Cruise Ships and Wealthy Tourists and 2nd Home Owners with “real” money will flock here to enjoy our natural beauty and more “exclusiv” low density tourism.

Simple Question deserving of simple Answer … hopefully not another “wall of Silence” similar to Sandals Tragedy … as hard for the Country’s Global Reputation to take much more,

Whilst this side tracked debate is somewhat entertaining on a rainy holiday, myself and at least a few others would like to know a bit more about the background and in turn, what caused this tragic “accident”, as it certainly was not intentional, but perhaps preventable. Let us start with the following “basic” Questions:

1. Did the Pilot own the Plane?
2. If not, on what basis did he have permission to operate?
3. Was the Pilot licensed to operate this type of Aircraft?
4. Was the Plane licensed for charter?
5. Unlike in Nassau, is it true weather was not a factor at Deadman’s Cay?
6. Did the Plane run out of fuel (no evidence of fuel igniting from Photos)?
7. If not, given Twin Engine Aircraft, why did both Engines apparently fail?
8. What does Pilot say occurred?
9. Does such an Aircraft have an “infamous” Black Box?
10. Given lack of Security at Deadman’s Cay Airport, could Plane have been sabotaged?

According to Flight Tracker this Aircraft was purchased on 24th March (just over 2 months ago) by one Mohammadi Roya and spent last week flying back and forth to Deadman’s Cay. Maybe this basic and readily available public info. will assist in some proper investigative reporting?!?

This has got to be perhaps the most “insane” Foreign Policy Decision in 50 years of Independence … Lord help us🙏
