Actually cruisemapper.com told the World precisely where these Cruise Ships were from mid-March and have been to this very day ... anchoring all over The Bahamas, not just at Gingerbread Ground where a significant number our clustered at present. What is interesting is that since the Fisherman’s Voice Recordings first broke, many of the Cruise Ships in other parts of our waters have scampered ... imagine that ... someone in Govt. needs to urgently secure the historical data of cruisemapper.com before it mysteriously disappears like medical records in this Country.
The numbers are as bad as they have ever been to the point where we can surpass our combined initial 4 month tally on any given day ... yet we're “Opening Up” ... so much for following “the Science” ... not to mention defeating the whole purpose of the initial 4 month restrictions!
The “DRA” is a misnomer and should simply be referenced in history as the “Disaster Authority”, as there is certainly no “reconstruction” component ... and never will be when the Salaries of the “incompetent” Authority exceed any meaningful relief actually provided making it an insulting waste of Tax Payer money in the name of people in such obvious desperation.
This is beyond embarrassing ... basically when the World was “flush with cash” and wanted to assist, we “as usual” we were far to casual, if not asleep at the outright wheel ... now a year later we want to start thinking about following-up in the middle of a World Pandemic ... Good Luck with that ... Hopefully at least all those associated with this newly created Ministry will at least contribute their Salaries for their complete and utter failure given that they have not even collected enough to cover such Salaries, which means the people of Abaco and Grand Bahama would have been better off with simply being handed such Salaries by way of direct relief.
There was a “lot” of money and assistance available internationally that was not taken advantage of in a timely manner ... and has now “moved on” to others that are equally desperate, but far more accepting, accommodating and indeed, grateful ... another lesson learnt the hard way at very much the expense of the Country ... in particular Abaco, who would have done better if just allowed to organize their own disaster relief without interference from Central Government, which has been nothing short of disastrous ... and for which Abaco now suffers ... and will continue to suffer for many, many years to come ... and dare I say will never, never, NEVER be forgotten ...
Any one else notice the total confirmed case count?!? ... “2020” ... better make haste and drop my “last” dollar on that number with the Web Shop ... as what are the chances of that “falling” on the Covid-19 Dashboard, which is the preferred Site for placing bets on these depressing days.
I wonder if “Super Wash” had been and continuing to lose money for years if D’Aguilar would continue to invest what now is not even his own money anymore (as that’s long gone) but borrowed money (as that is all we have) with NO HOPE of “ever” recouping?!?
This is most embarrassing ... particularly for anyone who holds themselves out as a Businessman ... just run it like any other business without emotion ... which dictates you close it ... and the Pandemic is the perfect time to do just that NOW ... as if it could not make money in “good” times, it is certainly not going to do any better over the course of the next 5 years!
Not wanting to comment on motivations and ramifications ... but how was this even possible given confirmed infection ... presumably some special medial charter flight, but this should be shared, so those left behind can at least bear such an Option in mind ... however difficult and unrealistic?!?
In any event, I wish Brave a speedy and healthy recovery.
