This “Conch Saga” is not only an environmental disaster, but an embarrassing and striking example of just how sad ... and bad the state of this Country really is when the “D” Average can not even simply accept that there is no current market for “live” Conch due to a World Health Crisis, but instead choose to take no action to mitigate their situation, preferring to cry financial hardship (as if they should be exempt from World Financial Impact), whilst at the same time watching the Conch die ... indeed, “D” Average is too kind, as it implies being simply “Dump” and this is beyond that wen you bear in mind these unused and dying Conch could be released to replenish the Fished Out Waters around New Providence, but alas that would require connecting 2 Dots ... Lord help this Country ... indeed the confirmation of our dismal state will be when Government proposes compensating these Conchers’ for their stupidity and environmental awareness!

We are in a National Health Crisis ... indeed the World is ... these Fishermen and Conch Vendors (and the Department of Fisheries, who apparently remain on “full” Salaries) have acted in an incredibly irresponsible manner by not releasing these “tied” Conchs when they realized there would be no short term market for Conchs so they could at least survive ... indeed acting in such a “responsible” manner “could” have had an incredibly positive environmental impact by replenishing the Conch population around New Providence that has long been fished out.

Note this Joker was arrested not for trespass, much less the color of his skin, but rather only “after” posting a Video OnLine inciting riot and destruction of state property. Hopefully 30 days at Fox Hill will cure him of promoting such lawlessness in the future ... and as for his Lawyer, clearly “the Law” is not a good profession for her given one must first understand it in order to practice it.

Given that we are assured our Country is going under water thanks to rising sea levels due to Global Warming, it seems a little peculiar that we would actively seek to accelerate this process by “digging up” what above water material we have for profit ... as surely in the not too distant future we will be required to “buy back” such material to create artificial Islands once our existing ones have become submerged and indeed, gone under?!?

This is well said ... but hard to imagine coming 9 months late from the person who actually bore responsibility, albeit he appears to be differentiating the medical role from that of the Police investigating the missing and dead, which could well be where the answers lie.

At least Cooper appreciates the significance ... and consequences of dancing with the IMF ... the Financial Grim Reaper of the World ... the time of reckoning is nigh ... and Lord help us for we have sinned!

No one likes Doom and Gloom, but reality is such now that the Financial Grim Reeper has spoken and it is now too late to turn back the hands of time and make amends for failing to properly manage this Country post Independence ... if only someone had listened and had the courage to make the tough decisions that successful Businessmen are required to make virtually every day, we could have held our heads high and marched on Bahamaland ... alas our Independence has come to an end in less than 50 years ... so, so sad .. and worse most Bahamians do not even appreciate what has happened, but regrettably they soon enough will.

I foresee only 1 person winning in this “throw of the dice” and it ain’t the Web Shops or the Government, much less the people of The Bahamas, whether they be gamers or non-gamers.
