Simple journalism:

1. How many retail spaces exist at Baha Mar?

2. To whom have such spaces been awarded?

3. If to Companies, who serves as Registered Office therefore and what does the Annual Return filed at the Companies Registry reflect as Shareholders?

4. If "nominee" Shareholders have been used, simply ask Baha Mar who they regard as the Tenant and communicate with.

5. If for whatever reason Baha Mar decides not to answer for "whatever" reason, ask contractors/employees/suppliers who they are contracted by?

None of this is particularly complicated. At this point the field of "genuine" owners of spaces should have been greatly narrowed, particularly as the more legitimate business operations will have little to hide, leaving only a few to be further probed, including if necessary direct questioning of Members before the House as to "any" interest therein for the record. As we all know on this little Island, all will "eventually" come out in the wash in any event, so this record will be important for future reference.

Time for ALL Bahamians to unite as one on Baha Mar and expose Izfailian for what he really is, namely rich kid with no experience surrounding by equal incompetence, who has a history of engaging in litigation in an attempt to cover up his incompetence and/or avoid his financial commitments.

Not if you ever meet the Guy, let alone know him! PR will only get you so far and in the world of business, Bankruptcy sticks, ... And everyone has an excuse as to why it was not their fault, but ultimately it is, if you are in charge of the Show.

Baha10 says...

We should not be propping up private enterprise whatever the circumstances, if I go into business and run out of money like Izfailian, my problem to resolve or lose the business, end of story. As for apparently not also paying the foreign component of the Staff, one should note, including Izfailian that it is these very "experts" that possess skills that Bahamian's "supposedly" do not possess making them eligible for Work Permits, which have ultimately resulted in bankruptcy, so I suppose one could say, however ill advised this policy is, at least they are only looking after our own at the bottom of the Totem Pole.

Boo Hoo, if you had not insulted a Nation with your arrogance, you might have garnered more sympathy, but instead you chose to squander your inheritance and embarrass your Family's Name, which will now be synonymous with failure in the History of this Country. Well done Izfailian, Daddy must be real proud!

Baha10 says...

Very sad, yet another aspect of our history lost post Independence, instead of preserved, while we perfect our skills of destroying what little else remains to define us a unquie Nation.

2 Rich Kids spending ... and losing Daddy's money, no wonder they see eye to eye, however blind. Have either actually made a Dollar of their "own"?!? Indeed, even the D'Aguilar Family Art Collection will soon be lost to the Provisional Liquidator to pay off their debts. Truely tragic, Son!

Baha10 says...

Wow, this is a "clear" message being sent to The Bahamas, and Others! Notice also, no possibility of appeal, merely "clarification"! Things looking "dead" bad, versus good!!!

This Building should never have been allowed and can now be used as "precedent" to build pretty much anything, thereby further deteriorating the image of what was once a beautiful Island.

Baha10 says...

"Baha Mar" as we know it is done as the Rich Kid has relied on fellow privileged Social Climbers who were happy to take his money and drink his champagne, but have little political influence and are further now completely out gunned by better lawyers and advisors. Simple lesson in life, "choose your friends wisely", especially in a small Town, a lesson the Rich Kid has had to learn the hard way at tremendous expense and embarrassment to his Family.
