Regrettably, the good Doctor in the process of performing open heart surgery, where life and death is literally placed in his hands, has developed a "Godly" complex, which he now wishes to carry over to become our Prime Minister.
I suppose the gist of all this is that BoB is going down, so presumably there will be run on the Bank tomorrow, assuming of course those in the know have not already cleared out the vault. Should be an interesting week, albeit another sad event to celebrate 40 years of self governance.
Time to arm private citizens. Yes , there will be an increase in domestic killings if Bahamians continue sweetheartiing, but these can easily be prosecuted and the rest of us can at least defend ourselves from being gunned down in the streets like helpless dogs as Government and Police have proven useless.
You are a very understanding man given that the flip side of your ordeal is that "we" as a country have been negligent in not remdeying this death trap sooner and indeed, will only now consider addressing as a result of your unfortunate experience, which was by no means an accident, as saddly those responsible for ensuring safe passage through our shipping/yachting lanes knew full well this was a disaster waiting to happen. Accordingly, thank you for not suing "our" Government for compensation.
Shame on our local vets, who have conveniently highlighted the problem with Bahamian protectionism generally, in that it benefits no one, least of all Bahamians and in this case, our Potcakes.
Mr. Blakeley, Bahamians are neither dump nor desperate, so save your hoodwinking for the more gullible. Who in their right mind would even consider, let alone actual proceed to construct a dock on what is considered to be one of the top 10 beaches in the world! And now, you look for us to believe and trust in what else you have to say?!?
Instead of asking Bahamians to "pull up their socks" and increase productivity in an effort to revive our economy, we are instead celebrating our descent into bankruptcy by declaring holidays for those responsible for such demise. Fortunately, the rest of the world, including the IMF, already view us as being on "permanent" holiday, so hopefully they will just laugh at this latest confirmation of their accurate assessment and not down grade us still further!
Should we not be focused on working harder and longer in the hope of emerging from recessionary times, as opposed to working less?!? Maybe if ever this day occurs, we can refer to this truly historic date in history as National Sense Day!
