So they don't know where they will find the money.
- The Lucayan IS already closed. It's not a matter of it "not closing". - They are called GIDC, not GBC. And they came for a government contract on digital ID. - 25M won't even pay for renovations, and it won't be open for winter.
The market is not complex. No hotel = no airlift. No airlift = no guests. The problem here is GBPA, and has always been. Nobody wants to do business in Grand Bahama because it's radioactive to investors: the incompetence, the rampant graft, the dereliction, and the impossibility of getting anything done. If Freeport were an honest and profitable place to do business, there would be a queue.
You have to be a pilot to understand how totally unacceptable any of this is, and just how grave the abuse of established principles. He was a criminal.
This guy had only had his PPL, was on an expired medical certificate, overloaded PAX, ignored ATC, and had even failed his IFR?

Great question Carl, and thanks for asking. Considering the incompetence of our politicians, and the "destiny" we're heading to....
- The older generation who lived through independence to see the mess it is now, would probably vote London. - The students and millennials who are constantly cut out of everything and kept down, would probably vote London. - The businesses who are tied up with constant government meddling, would probably vote London. - The victims in court cases who have no hope of justice in a corrupt law enforcement and judicial system, would probably vote London. - The tourists who are victims of price-gouging and even criminal attacks, would probably vote London.
In fact, the only groups who definitely wouldn't, are the bottom 20% of the electorate, and the politicians who have the control.
