Bested only by the Chinese fishing scandal, the robbing of BOB is the foremost scandal in this nation. It alone should be enough to bring the We March back to the streets. It alone is enough to justify a populous revolution and uprising. Stollen. Hundreds of millions of dollars stollen! Not only has there been a robbery of global proportions -- one of the bigest heists in human history, but the dastardly deed has been cloaked, covered up, hidden by the traitorous, conspiring PLP Government, who have washed it, rubbed it out fraudulently using the Bahamian people's tax money.
Why didn't the Tribune headline address this? Instead of believing in Bahamians, the shares are offered to a few elites. All public servants should have been offered shares, as with the new Port, which should have set a precedent for divesting of Government shares in companies. Disgusting. This company may be called Aliv but it's filled with the death and decay of a corrupt PLP robbing the people of their rights.
The biggest problem I have with Minnis is that I don't know Minnis, eventhough I've seen him often. Everything he says does not ring true; it does not feel like his words or his voice. It seems like just air. Who is the real Minnis? If I voted for him, it would be like playing Russian Roulette. His demeanor speaks of someone who is the opposite of transparent. He is closed as a nut.
Great concept for an article but very poor reporting. Which pumps? More importantly, what is their motive -- are they intentionally ripping off the public or is it just a technological glitch? How much gas is being miscalculated -- small or large amounts? This is a very important topic Tribune; please research further.
The problem is Bahamians want to cling to the past, because they have found ways to corrupt the warn out colonial institutions. They are frightened of change, because they might not have the same influence and control. Screw that!!! Time for change. Time for new.
It amazes me how thinned skinned the Bahamian people are. If you want change, you have to be willing to give up everything and even die for it. One mention of strike, and people start running scared. The real reason for the retreat I imagine is that Baha Mar is close to opening and people don't want to miss out on the "gold rush." If your silence can be bought, you never yelled in the first place. The Bahamas must lose the fakers or it will continue to be ruled by fake men like the current PM.
I have never seen a more improper seeming relationship than the AG has with this PM. It goes beyond incestuous. He and his cronies, literally, no exageration, have carte blanche to do whatever they please without fear of prosecution.
