Do it. This is what we put you there for. That's it. Not to buy hotels. Not to song and dance. We put you there so that the PLP cannot rob us blind ever again. Period.

I'm so tired of Bahamian politics that I don't care anymore. If everyone we ellect based on their campaign promises turns around and starts looting and stealing as soon as they get into office, what is the point? I only have one life to live and refuse to spend it chastising shameless criminals.

Imagine a white leader telling white workers about to strike to go enjoy a parade. What an insult that would be, equivalent to the infamous historical quip, "The people have no bread, then let them eat cake." Minnis' statement has pejorative, racial undertones, implying that all Bahamians of colour want is some good song and dance to make them pliant and docile. Having heard Minnis speak the now infamous "joke," it was his monotone voice that caught me off guard. He acted like a startled tiger; unable to compose flowery words in the brief time, he spoke through clenched teeth. This appears to be a man that vehemently hates the Press or any public exposure for that matter. The question that remains to be asked is why did he want to lead the country, if he hates leadership? I'm afraid the beating the Bahamas receives to its public debt and emptied treasury may be the only answer we receive.

90% of Haiti's problem is over population. Return family values to the people and limit child birth to one per family. This is the only way I can see solving Haiti's difficulties.

I don't think he is necessarily stupid. He is very quick on his feet. I think he just needs mentoring and more experience. His problem is that he has always been told he's very smart, so he has not been challenged and shaped to ground his arguments and his mentality. He has hung around the wrong types of people and not been challenged enough. He has potential, but he appears to have a racial bias that clouds his judgement. He watches too much MSNBC and CNN.

Bahamas is South Africa. Their banks are being looted just like BOB. Stop the African cabal!

A forensic report by investigators appointed by the South African Reserve Bank into the collapse of the Limpopo-based VBS Bank has confirmed “one of the biggest bank frauds that we’ve seen in South Africa”. Over a period of three years, nearly 2 billion rand of poor people’s money was stolen. The report has identified at least 53 individuals who, through various schemes, benefited from a combined 1.89 billion rand between 2015 and 2018.

The beneficiaries of this looting frenzy read like a laundry list of the new black elite. They include bankers, lawyers, the Venda king, auditors, asset managers, officials from state-owned companies, municipal officials and even trade unionists. And of course, there are the politicians, including officials from both the ANC and the EFF, who are supposed to be political enemies! The victims, as always, are the working class and the poorest people.

In the feeding frenzy, the bank was stripped to its bones. These “comrades” bought themselves luxury German vehicles, Italian sports cars and seaside apartments; they built themselves mansions complete with helipads; and wined and dined their girlfriends in exotic international holiday resorts.
