All the government is trying to do is get back some of that money that they so foolishly allowed the gaming houses to get.
When people were suggesting a national lottery so that they would have all the profit, the government decided to be lazy and leave the playing of numbers/lottery to private businesses.
Now with the implementation of VAT they are able to see just how lucrative gaming really is. Now they want to find a way to get a piece of the pie for themselves. So they taxing the hell out of them. Now trying to capitalize on the already established gaming system.
Bunches of suckers, I say close all the web shops and fire everyone for the government being so stupid as to not have made those gaming houses come under a government agency.
"Da F*ck" no law saying his parents are responsible. They aren't serious, he is a minor and his parents are responsible for him.
So the victims must claim on their insurance and pay deductibles because he decided to do something illegal. Anywhere else in the world, his parents would have to be responsible for damages.

Very sad this young lady died, but let's be real- speed was a factor. She hit the barrier head- on with no evidence of having braked. Which means she was distracted and didn't see it. Cause even had she seen it at the last minute she would have swerved or braked. A full mile of straight road and with her headlights she should have seen the barricade before she got to it.
This accident was a result of negligence on both parties. The government for not assuring adequate signage of the road closure, and the young lady who it seems was speeding and unaware the road was blocked.
It's very sad and tragic that this young mother lost her life over something so preventable. I truly hope this is a lesson for other drivers. Speed kills and paying attention to the road is key.
I hate the arse backwardness of this country. Can't we get anything right...
*Sex offenders registry *Stiffer penalties for hit and runs that result in death *Death penalty for murderers *Penalties and incarceration for animal cruelty *Stricter immigration laws
Just a few of the things that I find The Bahamas needs to deal with.
Again I ask the question, why is The Bahamas so lax? What is needed is a registry for sex offenders as well as continuous monitoring of pedophiles.
There needs to be a school bus system that picks and drops of students whose parents are unable to collect them from school. And an increase in safe after school activities for children whose parents work past 3pm.
We are supposedly so concerned about the "little darlings" yet we have very few measures in place to protect them. Smh
But hey, ya'll got your red and yellow tshirts and free drinks at all the rallies. But never once do people ask the MP's what the plan is to help the community and the country overall.
Why are we so lax here in The Bahamas? When will we get a registry for sex offenders and actually keep track of these pedophiles and where they are? There is no way a sexual predator should be allowed to free roam and no one be aware of who they are.
Furthermore, a representative is elected to Parliament for such things as clearing debris from abandoned buildings and ensuring the community doesn't have places such as these to aid in covering these heinous crimes.
Start holding the government accountable, some things in this day and age should be standard. After the Marco Archer case one would think we would be more proactive with this type stuff.
Thankfully these girls were not also found murdered. Still they will require a tender touch, counseling, and consistent help to heal from this tragic event in their young lives.
How about jobs actually give employees insurance that include death benefits. Let each employee pay monthly into the insurance plan and upon death the benefit is paid directly to the funeral home and the balance given to a beneficiary.
They do it in the USA, why not in backward land Bahamas.
