Da fu*k... how many Bahamians die in America, do they expect a call from the president.

How many people die from traffic accidents, do you think the president calls each one.

Get the hell outta here... ya'll really think politicans have time for all this bs. Then when dudes spend all their time "politicking" then when do they have time to run the country.

Jeesh man...

BahamaRed says...

Kml... they went to rush and spend money on things that come August will be VAT free. How ironic...

BahamaRed says...

I went to college in 2002 and they had free contraception along with free testing at the on campus health clinic.

Again...arse backwards Bahamas.

BahamaRed says...

Or maybe two girls thought to get chummy with the local men and when asked about it by their guardians lied about what happened. Wouldn't be the first time it has happened.

Let's not be so quick to pass judgement without first knowing the details.

I knew he would land on his feet. Now all the government has to do is hire him as the consultant on projects. He stands to make more than $48,000 a year.

I fail to see how a man who didn't complete his degree and only held the PS position for 1 year could have any real expertise to consult.

Whoever is in his ear, well played Mr. Robinson. These political parties always look out for their own. He publically apologized and now he's back in their good graces.

They can't give him the PS job back, so this is the next best thing.

Or licks 2... she wasn't payiing attention. Sad but possibly true.

BahamaRed says...

Fact remains speed was a factor. Because had she been A. Paying attention to the road, and B. Doing the posted 25mph speed limit there would have been no way for her to have hit the barricade with enough force to move it back several feet- as stated by police.

Furthermore the damage her vehicle sustained and the lack of brake skids in the road also indicate she was speeding and didn't see the barricade with enough time to brake or swerve and thus not have direct head on impact.

She was responsible and I feel no amount of signage or reflectors on the barricade could have prevented this if she was in fact speeding and distracted.

Sad though it may be this family needs to accept the loss, grieve, and move past this.

Stop looking for a come-up and letting the wrong people gas them up on foolishness. Have some respect...

They aren't serious, it is an unfortunate situation that the young lady died but how is that the government's issue.

I agree with banker, Bahamians think the government is responsible for their poor choices. Calling for the resignation of Bannister is ridiculous and far beyond necessary.

If for every accident in the USA someone resigned there would be no public officials.

Fact is this family needs to grieve and move on, stop looking for a comeup and free government assistance on the back of your dead family member.

About damn time... these criminals running, driving, ducking, dodging, and shooting circles around the police.

I have long said there should be a fitness standard to be on active duty in any of our armed forces.

How you expect to apprehend immigrants and criminals and can't even walk a flight of stairs without getting winded. If you are in any active duty status there should be a requirement of fitness to be maintained. Now if you aren't active duty and just sit behind a desk that's different.

We like slackness too much around here, fat sudgy police. Smh

If the government took control of the gaming industry from the start this wouldn't be an issue. The gaming industry should never have been allowed to be privately owned, because all the money would also be private.

And I maintain greed is now the factor, because they see the revenue and want some for themselves. So the only way to now get it, is to overtax the gaming sector. They do all the work and the government gets half the profit.

I'd close down my shops too... taking half my profit and they aren't doing anything. Smh...
