Bran has not presented no ideas and watching his behavior in parliament shows he does not have a plan to change anything. He needs to be schooled and present ideas to the Bahamian people not just politically charge criticism, he needs to show us a plan that's different from the status quo.
The problem with the entire situation is the not knowing. Without transparency u cannot get the true compensation package or affiliations of these ministers or any government official. Somebody making $28000 is probably receiving $200000 plus when u evaluate the total benefit package. And because they are not forced to declose all of their associations or provide financial statements this information is ceiled from the public. The President of the U.S and all of its respresentatives would be commiting political suicide if they did not disclose their income and its sources to the public. Without this transparency corruption will continue unchecked.. Furthermore when they are not stealing the money they are selectively funding projects based on political interest or agenda's only. No objective standards are followed in determining priorities for the country which is sad considering the many critical problems that need to be addressed immediately without politics being involved. In the end this request for more money and a new building at a time when most are struggling shows who they care about the most.
This has all the makings of a contract hit, no evidence of robbery or harm done to girlfriend or kids. How does your love one get gunned down around u & u dont hear or see nothing. What's even stranger is one would think that even if it was possible that she did not hear something the kids would of alerted her something was wrong. Just the loud bang would startle a young child or baby. She knows a hole lot more than she's saying, i'd start the investigation with her.
For any youth involvement in sports you have to have good volunteers and a secure environment. People willing to teach life skills & the fundamentals of the game. The problems is the focus in many communities is that of survival now, avoiding getting shot or trying to keep food on the table. This leaves very little concern for sports. The love of the game kept me out of a lot of trouble, allowed me to get further education and opened my mind through travel and education. The country has changed dramatically since then, Now U look at wrong person and they perceive that wrong and you could be killed.
The question I have is are these officers working over 40 hours in a week, if so they should be compensated at a rate of time & a half for anything over 40. They confuse us by talking just about 12 hour shifts which is totally legal. How many hours are they working in a week tribune?
Now they can explain how these career politicians got so wealthy if the pay & benefit package is so low as they describe. Then they can explain how M.P's qualified for $1,000000 plus loans from B.O.B
Interesting the timing of this release. Are we trying to change the focus from the fact that this department has a culture of brutality to maybe they brutalize people because of stress & psychology problems this is b.s. People are who they are, nobody just wakes up one day and decides to violate peoples rights or abuse power. Only ass holes mess with innocent people. Many individuals who abuse their authority got onto that department because they wanted the power they never had growing up.
LOL Banker, i'm talking about bank branch hours, working monday-friday 9-3 or 9-5. Some Police Officers through various methods some good, most bad, have figured out ways to avoid working shift work or ever working the streets again. RBPF after cleaning up its act have to consider re-assignment of these individuals to the streets to reduce cost, and help tackle this crime.
If they sent many of the politically connected cops out on the street where they belong there would be minimal need for overtime. Them and the ones sitting on made up jobs working bankers hours who got those assignments by kissing butt. But i don't know if that would be a good or bad thing for the Bahamian people. Unless the culture of this agency changes to that of professionalism, ignorance and brutality will be all the public can exspect. If they want the public to support them stop abusing their authority.
