U a uncle tom slave, happy to wear the crown, we were kings & queens of africa long before the brits or any civilization existed, this is not honor, this is post traumatic slave syndrome.
Useless office, why are we still acting like peasant slaves to a monarchy, we are a sovereign nation. Screw this slave colony mentality, it is 2014. This primitive behavior has to stop, every time I hear Privy council or queen I cringe. God save humanity, the queen is just a women like our mothers, wives, daughters, & they deserve the honor first before some lady in England. We need to develope our own system of government tailored for Bahamians in the 21 century
You can forget it, they not interested in new ideas and see it as a challenge to their authority. Its all about me baby, screw what's best for the country, screw passing the torch, screw everything, mmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeee.
Mr. Mitchell, the public is your Boss & to call your boss foolish is idiotic. He thinks he sits on a mountain above the people he serves, the Bahamian people must remind him & all politicians who step out of line who their employer is.
A senior politician publicly talking about playing games by suppressing the free flow of information members who were elected to represent the people may utter is ridiculous on all levels. We know who he serves, he just admitted it, lets see if the Bahamian people make efforts to get rid of him, wont hold my breath, he or his relative will be in government as long as we have one..
Anyone who supports immediate passage of a clear unadulterated Freedom of Information Act must be supported regardless of political affiliation. This act must be brought into law for us to have any hope of an open, accountable, successful existance, country first over individuals. Without knowledge we don't have any hope of ensuring accountability.
They just don't care.. it has been going on for so long that it has become the way they operate. The budget is trash & its vague nature will never change because they all benefit from it and the fact most of the population don't read the news paper so they definitely are not going to know or challenge the corruption. It is critical that the Freedom of Information Act becomes law, it is only way to expose this corruption.
The rule of law has been neglected for so long even with the police themselves that i am at a total lost to think of any effective solutions. Morals, decency, respect, integrity etc are in limited supply these days and without them people will not obey the laws. The social issues and dysfunctions are only getting worse feeding this growing crime problem. This is something we cannot arrest and ticket are way out off. At some point the thousands arrested will come out of jail to join the kids they parented and further these ills. Many of the vehicles are not even legal so obeying the traffic laws is a stretch. A moral person obeys the law because they value their freedom, have integrity, values, respect, and holds high their standards or image they represent out of respect for God, family and community. We have a moral deficit to go with our economic problem, crime is just the product of the underlying disease. RBPF is a criminal enterprise, how can they do an effective job of keeping order when they are out of order..
The devil is a lie and the Bible is a book of fiction, full of mystercism and symbolism. Religion is the opiate of the Brain washed masses, medicine to deal with the stresses of everyday life with the promise that your suffering will be rewarded in the afterlife. Which gives people a way out of dealing with reality and solving real problems " It's in God's Hands" a quote i've heard since birth. The book itself is a contradiction to many as it states" Faith Without Works is Useless" so pray everyday but if u full of Sh-t aint nothing happening for u. Religious Indoctrination is one of our handicaps not a solution to real problems like crime. If one thinks so, then God must really hate our asses..
A story yesterday on Yahoo was about a Suddanese man, (christian) who lives in New Hamshire returning to that country to save his wife ( muslim by definiition because of her father) who is pregnant and about to be put to death for marying a christian man. This is what religion breeds. People can keep there primative religion and everyday u wake up your problems with still be there unless u get up of your ass and take action.
