Dabeach: its not emotion, its principles & values.. In every cause of action u have to establish legitimate harm...The kids recieved there education & diploma's and will graduate...ceremonies are important but the denial of one has nothing to do with the school not providing education, in fact the punishment for misconduct is education. The true cost to the school will be legal fees in defending litigation....

There was a time in this country when kids where scared of the consequences of getting a bad report from school... if a report of miscoduct came home my concern would be for living not graduation or prom.. Now we talking lawsuits, this is indeed a new world.

Nassaudady: totally agreed... it is like they feel a sense of intitlement regardless of there conduct & the parents refuse to educate them that there are consequences for there actions. The world owes them nothing but the opportunity to be sucessful... Bad actions equal consequences stop spoiling children & lets move on its not the end of the world..

It is time for Law Abiding, honest, hard working Bahamian Citizens to be given the right to carry hand guns, including concealed hand guns. At this point U cannot wait or depend on Police Protection. If they can shoot A Police Supt. at his home, nothing is secure...

It is these leisure things like TV and entertainment, or abusive things like cigarettes, sweet soda, etc, should be taxed to raise funs. But taxes on things that affect the price of a loaf of bread or other products of human necessities should not exist. The Bahamian people should not pay 2 to 3 times the price of an American Citizen for food and necessities... I live in the U.S. now and can go right down the street to Walmart and purchase a loaf of bread for a $1.99... Gallon of milk under $4.00... Reduce Stamp tax on important goods that affect the working class and make some of these Banks and Businesses pay there fare share...

Accountability, Bishop U are the Man...Keep up the good work....We need More people like u. Now if we could only get this type of Accountability to spread to the Police, Politicians and many communities we'd be OK

This is very Sad and Disturbing, my compassion goes out to this woman, the Church and the Country as a hole, but this is not the first time this person has done this to a woman or child. This one just happened to be the wife of a Pastor and in a Church. It is the broken glass theory coming true when these people go unchecked after showing any signs of being predators. The police are also manipulating crime statistics and not providing a tracking system and accurate reporting of crime allowing offenders to get away with a smack on the risk or unpunished. I am sure if u run this persons criminal history u will find other like offenses... I can say that no one feels safe in the Bahamas anymore, the criminal element has created an environment of fear and justified paranoia. The Bahamian People have no faith in the Police, Courts, or Politician to solve the problem. And if this is so, allow Law Abiding Citizens the right to Purchase Hand guns or other means of protection for themselves and there Family, including the right to carry concealed hand guns... At this point I would put my faith in God, and the GUN...

The Firearm was not Recovered WHAT? What kind of Crime Scene investigation is going on? You must secure the Weapon.. This is a sad situation and my heart goes out to the Family, but now u have a gun floating around that is also part of a Crime Scene and everyone that was in the area of the incident knows who took it.. Playing with guns is a bad idea, and these young men are old enough to know better. But it blows my mind that a loaded weapon turns up missing from the scene and not one person is arrested for obstruction, Tampering with evidence, weapons possession, etc.. Find that gun before another idiot does something stupid or uses it to commit Crime...

It does not matter whether it's FMN or PLP...They have designed three classes of people in the Bahamas.. The Elite Ruling class like Mr. Wilson, Politicians, Judges,Rich Foreigners, Religious Leaders like Miles Munroe.. They are heavily connected look out for themself mostly, there family, there Cronnies... The working Poor, Teachers, Policeman, laborers, non management employee's. This group is heavily Leveraged and scrapping to get by with high prices for for food, housing, goods and services and low wages, (Except BEC). This is because of high stamp tax and a lack of Competition in business to force lower prices and competitive interest rates. Then there is the Dirt Poor, Unemployed or Under employed. The totally forgotten people and a large segment of the population. We all know what happens when a large segment of the population gets forgotten. It creates the Breeding grounds for Crime and Dysfuction..

TalRussell I could not agree more.... It is hypocritical for many Bahamian Business people to pick on the poor and complain about the size of Government when Government is in Collusion with business men like him to set policies that create monopolies like Arawak homes and inflat prices.. They could not aquire the amount of land and free reign without help from the Government and its politicians.. Unfortunately we cannot see these back door deals, or bribes.. Greed and the failure to invest in the Greater good of society has created our current problems...
