It all comes down to not letting idiots to handle your data. So in short, if you don't want any exposure of business you do simply don't do it in the Bahamas or other third world countries run by idiots. The Bahamas are known for their bad education and high crime-rate. It's common knowledge that officials don't give a flying fuck about anything unless there is something on the table they could grab. So how can you even remotely assume that creating a database of all corporate information in the Bahamas is a good thing ?
What did you expect you get by handing Baha Mar over to the chinese ? You let them ruin a big investor devoted to the project, then pick the chinese side and even reward them for what they did. And now you wonder they don't give a shit ?
The country is at their mercy and they will dictate the direction this country is going from now on. And you can't even blame them for that - they only saw the opportunity and took it - it's the Bahamian politicians who made it happen.
Ah come on. Nothing new here. If you have money the best you can do is not bringing it into the Bahamas. Every half decent asset manager told their clients already a year ago to stay away from the Bahamas.
Just be careful your politicians don't get in contact with the fog. Most of them act like they got bitten multiple times already and for sure they have been blood-sucking on Bahamians already forr years - so they might end up like the Bees.
Zika Test takes in Europe less than a day with estimated costs of about 1$ (urin test). So it'll be 4-8 weeks here for about 900$ and they likely will take a blood sample and send it across the globe.
