Not entirely true. Most Tox Studies & Clinical Trials last from a couple of weeks to several months. What takes time is patient enrollment, drug supply, getting the trial design/protocols reviewed & approved by the Regulatory Authority, and similarly getting the clinical data reviewed & approved. There is always a waiting list due to the sheer number of drugs under development at any one time.

Absolutely not true. Anyone can record an AI on the vaers & faers portals. None of the data is verified, and anyone can report multiple times. It is a useful tool to help CDC gather data from the public, but there is no verification process on what is posted. If you visited the websites you would see the appropriate disclaimers.

Again, absolutely false ! From Feb through June, 58% of Delta cases were in unvaccinated people and 8% in fully vaccinated people. Let me show you how numbers get twisted by people with hidden agendas.
FACT: 43% of those who died in India from Delta strain had been vaccinated. It's easy to see how many people interpret this as being 43% of ALL people vaccinated died of the Delta Variant, when what it is actually saying is 43% of DEATHS caused by Delta variant were in vaccinated people. See the difference ???
And FYI, India had reported 117 deaths associated with the Delta variant.

Why not award all government contracts to overseas companies? Wait, then everyone would say the contracts should go to Bahamian companies, not foreigners. Seems like a no-win situation to me !

I agree. Of all the column writers, I tend to find her articles the most interesting, and definitely the most eloquently written. I don't always agree with what she has to say, but that shouldn't detract from the fact that she does, like you say, have a fantastic command of the English language.

It says she was arrested for being a stripper, and also on immigration charges - my guess would be not having a work permit to work the brass poles :)

When I saw the title of this letter earlier today, and that it already had one comment, I said to myself "I bet that comment is from GodSpeed and has something to do with fake news" - I was right.

I really don't understand why people are so consumed with hate for CNN, Fox & MSNBC and feel the need to always project such hatred. We all know (at least those of us with an open mind do) that each of them has a political slant, and that it is aimed at reinforcing what their 'believers' already think because they know their viewers lack the critical thinking skills necessary to weed out what is opinion versus what is real.

Sadly, I remember when CNN actually reported real news, but then caved in when they realized they were losing viewing numbers to MSNBC & Fox News. Unfortunately the latter two have never been real news channels, although I do also remember when Fox Business actually provided useful & salient business news, rather than the $hite right wing propaganda thinly disguised as business news, that it airs now. MSNBC on the other hand has always been a joke.

Nothing but good can come from removing CNN & Fox News from the cable channel line up.

The fact that Emera has been successful in keeping the lights on in Grand Bahama for a while now, would suggest that the problem lies with the BPC/BEC workforce or management
