The problem is, most of them don't have a legal right to be here. And, those that do have a legal right, knew they didn't own the land they were building on and were fully aware of the consequences of doing so. My guess is that they never thought the government would do anything about it, since previous governments had failed to enforce the law. If you still think they are being heartless, why not offer up your backyard as a place to build temporary housing
*Florida right next door to us is still in the midst of an incredible bonanza tourism period that started last summer*
According to Visit Florida, the number of tourists visiting Florida was down 60% in the 2nd quarter of 2020, down 33% in 3rd quarter and down 33% in 4th quarter. The number of Canadian visitors for the whole of 2020 was down by 65%.. For the 1st quarter of this year the number of overseas visitors to Florida was down 75%, and the number of Canadian visitors was down 97%. Personally, I wouldn't exactly call that a tourist bonanza. Since you like to tell others how they conveniently like to ignore facts, might I suggest you practice what you preach.
They are not experimental, any more so than any other vaccine. If you understood how the whole R&D, Clinical Trial and approval process worked, then you would see that. Unfortunately, most people don't, so they get understandably nervous and negative when it happens faster than normal
Antibody tests are not always the best indicator. It can take 1-3 weeks after COVID symptoms start for the antibodies to appear in the blood. There is also the question of how long after having COVID is there still sufficient concentration of antibodies to produce a meaningful test response.
Then of course there is the accuracy of the test.
Skip this next bit if Math is not your cup of tea.
I think the best test has 95% sensitivity & specificity. If you use this test on a sample of 1,000 people of which 50 actually have antibodies to the virus, the test will correctly identify 95 percent of the true positives, i.e. 47 individuals (50 x 0.95). When it comes to true negatives, the test will correctly identify 95 percent, or 902 out of 950 individuals (950 x 0.95). The other 48 will get a (false) positive result, even though they do not have antibodies. The total number of positive results will be 95 (47 + 48) out of 1,000. However, since only 47 of those positive results will actually be correct, the probability that you actually have COVID antibodies is only about 50 percent which means you may as well just toss a coin.
Exactly right, makes me want to throw up. But it's not just the leftist media who fawn over any political martyr, the 'rightist' media do the same when they have the opportunity. They have us all brainwashed.
Never heard Republicans complain about Cheney, until she went against Trump. As far as I'm aware she was very well liked and respected by most in the party, until she did this. Then the Turncoats realized their political futures were at risk if they sided with her. Just goes to show how much power Trump has over his flock of sheep. Baa-Baa-Baa
Wrong, it's due to population density, lifestyle and interaction with outsiders !! There is absolutely no peer reviewed evidence to support HCQ & Ivermectin as being useful to protect against catching COVID.
All you people who love to complain about how rushed the vaccine clinical trials were, and won't be taking the vaccine, are the same people who are more than happy to take HCQ and Ivermectin without performing any clinical trials. Something stinks with your logic !
