Both had a lifetime history of serious allergic reactions to all sorts of things. Both were treated with antihistamines and the rash & swelling at the injection site was gone in a few hours. This is an entirely normal reaction for people with serious allergies.

Sorry, but unless I'm misunderstanding your last paragraph there is zero, zilch, nada genetic modification of the human body or human cells going on.
There are 2 different types of COVID vaccines currently being developed, The Pfizer & Moderna vaccines are mRNA type vaccines, and the Astra-Zeneca & russian ones are Viral Vector vaccines.

mRNA vaccines are relatively new. The way they work is somewhat hard to explain, but essentially the vaccine is a genetically modified harmless piece of the virus (mRNA sequence). This mRNA sequence is a code that tells the muscle cell to produce a harmless "spike protein" (antigen) that is found on the surface of the COVID virus. When the muscle cells produce the spike protein our immune system realizes that the spike protein doesn't belong there and immediately starts designing antibodies that can attack the actual virus should the person ever become infected.

Viral Vector vaccines are somewhat similar except the harmless spike protein is introduced to the body using a modified adenovirus (common cold virus).

As always, everyone has a choice as to whether or not they wish to get vaccinated and I'm respectful of that.

Both parties need some fresh blood and fresh ideas in order to get the country back together again. Getting rid of the likes of Pelosi & McConnell and their cronies would be a great start, and introduce term limits for these clowns. Also, remember that Trump's political party affiliation has flip-flopped between Democrat, Republican & the Reform Party over the past 30 years. I wonder what we would all be saying now, if the Democrats had taken him on back in the early 2000's

HCT's are essentially the same as Phase I (FIH) trials, that ALL drugs have to go through before going into Phase II & Phase III. FIH studies are always conducted on normal healthy **volunteers**, at lower doses, than those showing adverse events (AE's) or death during the animal Tox & PK studies.
Part of the animal testing process is to find the dosage at which adverse events (AE's) and death (LD50) occur. So, as cruel as it sounds, animal Tox studies require subjecting the animals to increasing doses until AE's & death occur. So, the effects you described above are exactly what you are supposed to see during animal testing as we need to know at what dosage bad things will start to be seen in us humans.

Yes, mRNA is a relatively new area but that doesn't mean it's going to fail or be dangerous. If the world took that attitude with every new development like, X-Rays, MRI's, microwaves, cellphones, computers etc. etc. we would still be in the dark ages thinking the earth was flat.
