Jesus Christ would have been called a Socialist / Marxist if he were alive today. He was a very effective politician as we still like to quote those who say they knew someone who knew of him. Otherwise called Apostilles. They wrote the bible. A book, like Dr. Seuss, written by men. Religion is no substitute for education.
What makes one fisherman better than another? You are all destroying the natural marine life for your personal gain. I don't eat seafood as it doesn't taste good enough to overcome the guilt of killing for profit. And if I have to put a half pound of onions and tomato on it so it tastes good, it's probably crap! I hear from Bahamians that the large Conch are a thing of the past and see it as an indicator that the ecosystem is stressed. That should be the concern. Not whom Bahamian Women choose to marry. Let me define what fishing means in a tourist economy; rich people paying thousands of dollars for catch and release privileges. That employs tour operators, hotels, guides, restaurants etc.
Is that the one where the little MAGA farm animals fall for the greedy 1 term loser who said he was one of them? Then after telling them he will meet them at the Capital for the "wild" revolution, he stays home and calls for them to be arrested? That one? It's good I agree.
The Bahamas needs a better education system. Evidence: Kevin Evans. You see Kevin, some people used make up stories about black people being pedophiles and rapists to justify their racism. It's a slippery slope and you are near the bottom.
He lost by 7 Million votes man!!!! No sugar coating this A$% kicking; Ronald Reagan style. That was the last time an incumbent was so utterly rejected by the American people. What is really amazing is that he got the same electoral votes as Trump did losing by 3 million votes. The US is rule by the minority at all cost.
The Bahamas may be the only country where lotteries are private and tax free. Tax the winnings and the gaming companies. If this reduces gambling by people who can't afford it, so be it.
A referendum is a great idea. But it should be done once all the information is available. When the amount of oil, if any, is quantified, then the discussion can really be a cost / benefit discussion. For the time being it's just dooms day vs riches. You have a clear vision of a doomsday as illustrated by your initial comment here. Let's put the riches in human terms also, so Bahamians can vote with all the information available to them.
Agree. You only have to announce a change in the enforcement laws and the outstanding amounts will flood in. Also, the interest on outstanding taxes and penalties should be more than what the Government pays to finance their delinquency. 15% sounds good.
