Complete and utter nonsense!! This is an addiction and you are blaming the addict not the dealer. Nice try. There is nothing to lose by banning these gaming houses now. not tomorrow, now. Wake up Bahamas
This money was stolen by many many people under her watch. That is many Bahamians who are dishonest and steal given the opportunity. She is a useless waste of flesh but this should not excuse the hundreds of small time criminals who work for her dept.
1. Securities Commission of the Bahamas - To regulate 20 stocks that never trade 2. Insurance Commission of the Bahamas - They hide during Hurricanes and blame the policy holders 3. Compliance Commission of the Bahamas - Compliance of what exactly? The disappearing financial sector? 4. Financial Intelligence Unit - This one is a joke right? The loosest use of the word Intelligence I have read.

At lest he used the word "endemic" to describe his business. It is a disease and he knows it. He doesn't let his glass house stop him from casting rocks.
How is that sand down there Mr. Bastian? Your head is firmly planted in it. You can fool most Bahamians most of the time it seems but no amount of turkey giveaways can mask the fact that your fortune came from somewhere.....the people who could afford it least. These gaming houses have grown like mushrooms and no changing the topic will hide this basic fact. Supervalue being overpriced has nothing to do with how you accumulated your wealth. Prove otherwise. The ridiculousness of your position is evident by your wealth. Really simple.
How about we work on all of the above. Your argument about structural pricing issues in the economy does not negate the need for controlling , taxing, and regulating the gaming industry. We can do both.
