Mr. Bannister has always given the Bahamian people their money's worth in whatever ministerial portfolio he has been entrusted. No one, other than a couple petty-minded bloggers on this page, has ever been able to honestly accuse him of being corrupt and dishonest. He has always called it as he sees it, keeping in mind that his true role is simply one of servitude to the Bahamian populace. Never mind the noise in the market, Sir.
I have had the privilege of flying on BahamasAir on several occasions. I have found the Stewardesses to be very polite and accomodating. The pilot always handle the aircraft with obvious skill and experience, amounting to very smooth and enjoyable flights. I am always proud to choose the flagship carrier of my Bahamaland whenever I have the opportunity. I also feel that my little ticket price is the least contribution I could make to the building of my national carrier. While I have flown on most of the other airlines, BahamasAir will always remain my favorite. May God bless BahamasAir, and find favor with the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
It is about time that we begin to think and look outside of the box as we strive to move our Country forward and upward. Recruiting an experienced individual from outside of the country, with a background of solid credentials, and proven successful results, is a great idea, and may be just what Fox Hill needs. I just wish that the rbpf, rbdf, Customs, and Immigration, could do the same.
I have to assume that either many of you bloggers are just downright ignorant (which is consistent with a D average mentality), or you are choosing to ignore facts. The young girl, Taranique, does not qualify for Haitian citizenship, plain and simple. No matter how some of you may try to twist the facts, her mother was not born in Haiti, and never held Haitian citizenship. So, how could this young lady even be considered a "natural-born" Haitian citizen?
Like many well-meaning Bahamians, I do not like to see my beloved country over-run by illegal immigrants of any nationality. We need to control our borders and up our efforts to prosecute employers who take advantage of their cheap labour. But, this not mean we should throw common sense out of the window when dealing with other human beings. Come on Christian Natiion, where are your souls? Or that only matters on Sundays?
Uniforms are important in de-emphasizing the economic disparity among all students. I also think it is a good thing to be able to identify students on their way to or from school. However, Mrs. Hanna-Martin seems to be barking at the moon, like her other colleagues seem minded to do from time to time. Also, the government should not be expected to subsidize the purchase of uniforms for students on a consistent basis, year after year. Government assistance should always be a hand up and never a hand out.
Is anybody still listening to Brave? Not even Cat Islanders who voted for you in the last election still want anything to do with this man. The FNM should be grooming their next Candidate for Cat Island now.

This is probably only one of a few times that I will ever agree with Well_mudda. Praying that John finds help soon.
