Some among us will stoop at new lows to denigrate others, the self-promoting QC being no exception once he is keeping his name in the headlines. I wonder what happened to his other recent project that also garnered him some headlines? Where were the Xenophobes when Mr. Campbell was faithfully serving our Bahamas as a police officer?
While waxing eloquent, Well_Mudda sometimes applies a twisted sense of logic to his reasoning in order to arrive at his predisposed position. It would appear that he is hell-bent on opposing almost anything coming from this Government, while offering up few half-baked alternatives. The truth is Dr. Sands is saving lives, while he and Bradley Roberts are talking foolishness. The operative word in this story is "Volunteer". This one, while a no-brainer, certainly exposes your true colors; and they're not black, gold, or aquamarine.
I remember in the run-up to the 2012 General Election, then Prime Minister Ingraham warned us that The PLP just wanted to get their hands on the "Cookie Jar" again. He was so right! The PLP used the public's purse in any way they deemed fit and proper, generally accepted principles be damned. The Editor is correct. They should be made to give an answer as to where the missing 43 million dollars was diverted.
This is very unfortunate that this individual sought to have this fight in public. It can only serve to damage her prospects in the more lucrative private sector where she might be viewed as not being a patient team player. It would appear that she was the original leaker who brought these circumstances upon herself in typical PLP style.
If Brad and Birdie's thinking represent the mindset of the PLP, they should never again be allowed to govern in this country. What a sick and sorry pair of losers!
Birdie, let's stay on topic, please. Or, is that too much to expect of you. Anyone with half a bird brain, who has visited Cat Island in the past ten years, would humbly submit that Brave Davis has not done anything for Cat Island. I promise you that he won't be re-elected in Cat Island next election. So if you are hanging your hopes on him becoming the next PM in order for your gravy train to begin to flow again, please forget it. The days of the Gravy Train are over Birdie! Just for the record, Birdie, I am just as accomplished, academically and professionally, as Davis or Greenslade, and would definitely put up my credentials against yours any day. Based upon your writings and reasoning, I surmise that you didn't make it past Standard III. Thus your failure to accept and understand that the Bahamas has moved beyond the PLP.
I think it was time for Mr. Greenslade to move on. New eyes and fresh hands on deck are needed in our evolving efforts to combat a new and more dangerous criminal element. Ten years at the helm is sufficient for a single Commissioner of Police, and like others before him, he is being honorably rewarded with a plum appointment for his acquiescence. I'm sure that he never anticipated the day would have come to see Keith Bell and Marvin Dames become his bosses. That's life!
@John Not to pile on you, but it does seem from your initial posting as though you were making excuses for the "Bush Mechanics", and seemed to suggest that their circumstances should be taken into consideration. As you said "...it is not right to the residents of the area", but it is also illegal, bad for the environment, and helps to cement our standing as a backward, third-world island nation. We must stop making excuses for law-breakers, without exception, and ignore supposedly extenuating circumstances, in fairness to those law-abiding citizens and businesses.
Doug Manchester will not be good for the Bahamas, in the same way that his boss, Donald Trump, is an embarrassment to the United States. Just a simple chat with anyone who has ever worked for Doug Manchester, especially people of color, will probably cause the letter writer to sing another tune.
The good news is that in order to be the next PM Brave will have to retain his seat In Cat Island, San Sal and Rum Cay. Without access to the People's Purse, and no Pork to spread around, he might not retain his seat.
