The minister in effect has admitted that the fund is essentially empty! The balance is zero, robbed and picked clean by government thieves.

National pension funds, workers compensation funds are usually some of the wealthiest funds in existence.

It’s no wonder they been going after delinquent people so hard, barely enough coming on each month to match payments due, ain’t no money in the bank.

We can all kiss that pension goodbye.

Where did all the money go; bat money, nib money, and all the other money.

We can not afford to borrow to fund this, this is a fund that will never serve its suggested purpose

We should take a stand and protest and refuse to continue to pay in, they just steal all the money anyhow.

Sell the electric utility to a foreign company. Pay the debt with the proceeds and put the balance in general revenue.

The foreign company will provide cheap regular power.

This will get the corrupt idiots away from the controls.

We all win, except for the crooked bastards who have been pilfering from the utility.

Chucky says...

First of all, I don’t understand the comments regarding the additional $30.00 to be added to the power bills. ?

The debt is there, government has only one source of funds, and that’s from the people, we gone have to pay this one way or they other.

There is only one solution that can eliminate this debt, and that is for the government to sell off the utility and use some of the proceeds to pay out the debts.

If you want to protest the problem, let’s march downtown, with 150,000 or more and demand they sell off the utility to a competent foreign power company with experience.

The only way to make a government listen is to protest on such a scale that they see their police and Defense force is vastly out numbered and they get scared.

Government should sell the utility, with proceeds paid towards the debt, balance of proceeds remaining to general revenue.

This would allow a proper company to come in and run the utility properly.

A clean slate, consumers not on the hook.

Come on Wrinkle, now is not the time for your suppression of the little guy agenda.

The last thing we need is another protect the rich contractor scheme. The big guys telling the little guy what work they can do is BS and you know it.

It’s a free market system, so let it be free. The project owners can choose their contractors, legally anyone can build a home, so clearly your proposed regulations will not protect anyone.

Building inspectors pass the works performed, or require corrections to deficiencies, so that base is covered.

And on the big projects, bonding requirements weed out those who are not qualified and fully protect project owners, so no need for your BS proposal here either.

What’s the matter with you rich guys anyways, despite all your money you still can’t compete?

You really feel the need to use regulations to keep people down?

Skip did ok without regulations to stifle the competition; u must been spoiled or something?

What do we need to bring “ road traffic up to international standards “ for? Just because large fully developed countries do this, does not make this good!

You could probably count the accidents caused by “unsafe” vehicles on one hand each year.

Commercial trucks are a different story. But in that case you need to also include proper driver training.

It’s a play on words to say “controlled substance”. There is nothing controlled about alcohol or tobacco beyond the age of purchase and the government’s heavy taxation of the same.
I’d like to hear on reasonable honest answer as though why the government is involved in “ controlled substances “ you mention/ suggest?
Do we really need to feed the government via heavy taxation everyone someone has a drink or smokes?
What good does that do?

Notice what the economy is becoming; those that matter ( Wealthy business people , the elite investor, and those high up in government) are creating a closed economy for those that are to succeed, while the rest, ie the taxpayer is to go to work, slave away, pay tax and all but starve. Meanwhile the chosen, will thrive in their closed loop economy.

Regardless of how we’re doing, their will be enough taxpayer money to fund the rich , and what the tax payer can’t afford now, well government debt (aka the taxpayers future) can make up for it.

Haven’t you noticed, over the last “x” number of years, more and more projects are completed, infrastructure built etc etc, all with the promos of more and better jobs. Yet to date no real, meaningful improvement for the average citizen.

How long will we accept these carrots they keep dangling with the promise of improvement.

It’s all a scam, a pack of lies.

The economy they speak of, well it does not consider the average person.

They can build a 100 airports , and other than more comfortable chairs, better and shiny ore buildings and runways, we the common person will realize no benefit, yet we will pay the bill.
