“#Mr Sinclair said he did not understand their continued grievances and instinct to “fight at every step”.

That is what it is to be Bahamian!!!

It’s our biggest problem

I don’t agree. First you have to get them out of bed, then make them stop drinking, then get rid of their laziness. Then rid them of the sense of entitlement. And the somehow get them to think about anyone but their self. And lastly, convince them to expend effort for the greater good, without reward, and convince them that helping people is worth while and reward in itself.

Good luck.

Can’t even get a Bahamian to be honest and faithful.

How many of our people are even committed to their own family, much less Soviet or their country.

What buy it back so we can continue to run it into the ground, but at the same time tell the employees how good they are.

Maybe we should start a government corporation, employ 10,000 Bahamians to go around the islands and tell fellow Bahamians how good, smart, fit, beautiful and hardworking they are.
Surely that will fix everything.

One thing for sure is we don’t see a big demand for our labor around the region.

People from everywhere are here working, but when you travel to another country in our region and it’s extremely rare to find a Bahamian working there.

Whatever that means.

But more honestly, we know all but a very few in our nation are lazy and entitled.

We can deny this forever, but we are experiencing the results from this in all aspects of our lives.
Nothing works well here, you get less than half of what you pay for, you can’t get anything fixed or built right. It’s really really frustrating.

Chucky says...

Who is going to make our black ancestors pay for selling us off in Africa?

Or selling us was ok, but buying was wrong.

How about our bible, who’s gonna finally rewrite that , it’s hard to say slavery was wrong when it’s in our god book

“concern that the Bahamas’ tourism market could suffer a blow after a fatal shark attack last month has created the impetus for officials to consider a number of measures to protect snorkelers.”

Glad to hear that it is out of concern for tourism, that they will implement some “new rules”.

Thankfully

But pretty sick that anyone would write those words! Much less think that way!

Just imagine, they could just as easily have said that “out of concern for the lives of tourists”, or “swimmers”. But nope, in this sick country, the only concern is for dollars.

What thinking person could ever claim “that this is a Christian nation”, as if it means anything anymore anyways.

Only a scumbag needs criminal libel laws

But what if the “slander” you speak of is true, as most often it is.

So wrong in this opinion.

It’s hardly diplomatic to sound off like this ambassador did.

And government should be only granted the minimum of secrecy protections. Likely only for maximum national security issues.

Behaviour like that displayed by this ambassador was rightfully exposed. It’s this behaviour that should not be hidden.

If it was our nation, and a foreign ambassador and the related foreign govern thought and exclaimed that we were “idiots”, for example, we are entitled to know by any means possible.
And we can then act accordingly, ie terminate the “diplomatic relations” if need be.

Truth be told, most leaders are not worthy of the respect there position commands, the more of these “leaders” exposed, be it presidents or diplomats etc, the more that can be rightly forced out of political positions.

It’s getting to the point where leaders are often found to be the most disgusting members of a society, and not leaders and not worthy of office at all.

Total amnesty for those that expose the corrupt lowlife , and this should be included as an international law and human right

We should give zero tolerance to our leaders/representatives, one mistake and gone!

Chucky says...

I get the writers position.

I think that a pride parade will start to breakdown barriers for these people.

After some time, likely years, people may develop to Tolerance if not acceptance.

Admittedly, I’m one of those people, while not homophobic, I don’t believe in pride parades or public organized events celebrating sexual orientations, especially not alternative orientations.

If you are one of the ones affected, good luck to you, but I don’t want to see you prancing down the street. Straight people don’t have a parade, why do you need one.

I think the world is on a slippery slope with this movement. L&G is one thing, but to be in a body of one gender and claim to feel like a member of another sex, or fluid gender etc is clearly delusional.
To support this, is to deny these people help that they need.
I.e. If your born with male genitalia and you feel like a woman, sorry, but by definition there is something wrong with you. And you need help , and it’s not surgical help.

On Pride march is a horrible idea
