Minnis could have kept his mouth closed and left us thinking he's a stupid fool, but he chose to flap his gums and remove all Doubt!
He ain't think we fear? Perhaps he should go about town at night without his bodyguards and see what nightlife is like for anyone who brave enough to go out. Perhaps he can count how many restaurants done close up cause ain't nobody come anymore.
Why didn't they just cut off the 79 customers who are responsible for the 22mil in debt, rather than the 5400 civilian bills.
Clearly it's because they can't cut off der friends the businessman,
These people making the decisions and the frikin A holes who support it aught to be strung up, getting tired of these people picking on the poor and covering for the rich.
Problem with his arguement is the underlying fact that nobody wants to admit.
Our useless, lazy, under educated, bad attitude workforce is not only responsible for the lack of ability to compete for the private businesses, but also responsible for the inefficiencies in all the government run operations ....ie BEC etc, and for example this causes the extremely high power bills that we in business have to contend with over and above our useless workforce.
It's high time we are honest about our real problems , and start to address them.
Aint no amount of talk gonna fix anything if we can fix our crappy people.
What this idiot Pinder think that we can wrangle some deals with a few countries at a time , deals that are structured in such a way that we can charge enough to be profitable with our crap infrastructure and crap workforce. Idiot, just proves you can't fix stupid.
Educate our people, change their attitudes, arrest and charge the criminal businessmen politicians, set an example.
All the talk in the world will do you know good without action
Name one fleet of cars , trucks or planes. Boats etc that has ever lasted as long as it should have in the Bahamas government fleet.
None!!!!!!!
These will soon be scrap if they don't keep the maintenance contract Damen.
The four main problems in order (my opinion), 1-Bahamian attitude /work ethic 2-lack of education/training, 3- starvation wages. 4-inability of government to procure parts and supplies in timely matter/hampered by theft and selling of parts that do arrive.
Good luck fixing it.
From the day we start. It will take at least a generation to fix our problems.
And we ain't start yet. Most ain't admit we gots problems.
Women's work undervalued? What is women's work? Sounds awful sexist to me!
I suggest people are paid based on market principles, and if someone is wanted and needed bad enough they will get paid accordingly. On the other hand, if anyone who can fog up a spoon can do your job, don't expect a big paycheck
Truth be told , sugary drinks and fast food are of no value in this world. One might as well eat sawdust and drink sewage.
Why not get serious, ban all the cheap food and drinks, they make us fat and unhealthy. To argue that it might hurt a few businessmen or shareholders is simply stupid. It's like saying that because someone invested in making poison and makes a profit doing so, then we should allow the poisoning to continue to protect the busnessmans profits. How stupid is that?
