Can't say I blame them, our attitude here towards foreigners is disgusting. Just imagine how we can eat without them? We should be the nicest people in the world towards our tourists and foreign residents, but instead, we are a nasty people who provide poor service and an abundance of bad attitude. Our GDP is approx 8 billion, without foreigners, we'd exhaust all our cash in less than a year just by importing food to eat, then what do we do? Are we all so stupid to think that we can scare away and cut off the hand that feeds us and then what? Build our own cars, make our own clothes, grow our own trees for lumber, grow our own food, raise our own livestock? That will never happen.
Poor attitude sunnyday we rely on foreigners as a large part of our economy, they are essentially what supports us. Without tourism and foreign visitors who reside here, we simple cannot eat. Please remove your disgusting statement.
What is wrong when people accept their Prime Minister travelling to another country to meet with business leaders about a deal. Do we think Obama would go there to meet with them, do we think Canada's PM would go there to meet with them?
No, of course not!
What is wrong with this picture? If they want to do business here, then they had better get their team here to meet with us.
Best way to improve the Junkanoo Carnival is to first cancel it forever, and then cancel Junkanoo of any sort. Next we should never speak about it again. A few years down the road we can start scrubbing it from history books. After about 25 years , we might be able to get away with denying we ever had it. End of story. A disgraceful primitive part of our heritage could be easily struck from our history if we just put forth the effort to leave this behind.
It's now become abundantly cleat that the "winding up petition" by this government was 100% a stab at Izmirlian. If not , why would they delay the proceeding any further.
It appears this government is willing to put all the jobs and potential economic benefits aside in order to "get back" as someone (i.e. Izmirlian), and clearly they could care less about the costs to our country.

Notice how the country can socialize business debt, etc, but can't provide any social service of real value to the people.
This looks like another example of the government paying off the costs from crooked private shareholder ripoff that went bad. Notice the shareholders / directors etc are generally totally isolated from their scandals. But the people of the bahamas can pay up to sort this out to the benefit of the few.
Corporate welfare takes many forms, this is just another example. In this case, I'm sure the powers that be have found a way to take some millions for themselves.
