Folks , if we can just step back and imagine the following:
Just imagine if Government's intentions were just to tax farm the people, fill their own bank accounts, and steal all they can for themselves. Next just imagine if Government was only interested in giving back enough education to keep you just smart enough to do "worker ant jobs", and only give back enough health care to "keep you healthy enough" to do those worker ant jobs. Next just imagine if government's intentions were to provide just enough policing to keep the masses in check and under control. Next just imagine that all the talk from Government officials is just a dog and pony show, they pretend to be "trying to improve the country", they talk enough to "project the idea of hope for the people", the "ideal of opportunity for the people", imagine that all the talk is just a part of the job of keeping the illusion alive. Next, just imagine, a Government made of up people so smart, that they can pull off the biggest scams, so arrogant that, they can stand proud while they lie bare faced about the odd and rare scam that gets exposed. So arrogant that they are fearless when presenting non sensical explanations of the exposed scams. Lastly, just imagine a Government who displays all those characteristics, who has created and sustained as system that makes anyone who makes it to office , or anyone who is on the friend list, a bloody fortune. A system so well oiled and efficient that even the smartest of people can't seem to expose it for what it is in any detail. Now realize that the same government with those "imagined" qualities, will actually use the idea of "incompetence" as a shield and an explanation for the "failures" when in reality the failures are a necessity in freeing up money to steal. Imagination is a great thing, but there is no way that a government as imagined could ever exist. is there? The problem is, that this is the reality of all governments. This is the reality we face. So we can all continue with our comments about whats going on, we can continue to believe the illusions presented by these thieving scumbags. Or we can acknowledge its a scam, acknowledge that your only chance for success comes from within yourself and family unit. And lastly, we can all acknowledge how little government actually accomplishes, and how we should strive to get them out of our lives. Failing to acknowledge what they really are, is to be a fool, a surf, and their accomplice!
When someone incorporates / includes religious dogma in their writings they severely undermine their credibility.
Seriously people, "Prayer" , it's time to put the religious dogmas of the world aside; to realize there is but one life to live, and to finally take responsibility for our own actions in society. There is no god, no afterlife, no judgement that will be forthcoming! What we do today, affects us today, and should be resolved today.
Religion is and always has been man made; has been used to control and manipulate the masses, and is used by some as their "claim" to being holy and upstanding citizens ......blah blah blah. No thinking individual could possibly believe the BS stories, and anyone making the "claim" to be religious and upstanding should be shunned for their obvious lies, hypocritical behaviour, and false claims to being of good nature due to association with the dogmas. in theory anyone who purports to have serious religious convictions would have to live without possessions, without sin, without money or its pursuit, etc etc etc, does anyone no anyone to truly live this way. Nope! They're all fakes, liars and scammers. "Cause God Needs Your Money"

How many here have actually worked around the "low skilled" bahamians who "should not be displaced by foreign workers"???? Maybe 10% of Bahamian construction workers I've been around are worth their pay. The balance are a complete waste of food. Not because they are stupid, but because they choose to be useless and very dishonest. A bahamian is a master of concocting stories about a million different things; generally with the intent to scam or to make something they did out to be someone else's fault. Bahamian attitudes suck! Wanna change their attitude, open the immigration, make them know that they have to produce to have a job. Make them know they have to work hard and smart to do the job, and make them know it needs to be done well. All foreigners are here working for either Bahamians or foreign companies with status to operate here; both hire foreigners because they are better than Bahamians. If you want to stop illegals, then fine the companies who hire them, don't persecute the poor migrant worker who only comes because there are jobs for them. Everyone I know has met a foreigner who is here on permit, and all can tell stories about how the employer / immigration drag their feet on permit approvals- leaving the foreigner standing on shaky ground! Either allow it or don't, but if it's not to be allowed, expect Bahamians to continue working like people who know their job is protected! If you truly don't want the foreigners, then that means you must stop the permits, and aggressively go after businesses who hire the illegal workers. Yes that means go after the businesses who have friends who are politicians- we know this won't happen. I remember once taking courses at work and the majority of my fellow employees had no interest whatsoever in learning what was being offered. Payday is friday, liquor store has booze, and chicks are for pussy- that's the extend of the majority of Bahamian male's scope of knowledge. People here are lousy, have babies, but won't look after them, won't help to educate them, won't even spent the time to properly parent them. If people had any decency, they'd make sure their own children did well, became educated and were respectful and respectable people. Clearly the masses of Bahamians don't care, and are lousy people, one look at our failed society is all the proof you need. We'd be lucky if we could say 10% care and are truly respectable people. We need to fix this, but it starts from within, not from government, not from big pay checks, not from protectionist labor rules; if Bahamians wanted to learn a skill and work like decent employees we'd have no interest in hiring foreigners, until then we shall live as we do now!
The immigration problems could be easily resolved; simply charge the employers hefty fines for first offences and jail time after 3rd offence. Locking up Hatians and deporting them is just a bandaid on the problem. The offenders are the employers, they create the demand, and they go unpunished. Can't blame them, the employers get to hire cheap illegal labor, employees who they can essentially starve and abuse. Employers likely call immigration at times to have herds of employees rounded up so they don't have to pay them. I say fine the employer $10,000.00 per offence (a penalty already on the books), we will soon after see the problems diminish. Haitians and other illegals will stop coming here if they know they won't find work! Wont take that long.
The name and all the info about "who" got the bribe is available online, the court doc are public record in the USA. 2 min on google and you can find it.
He gets paid the VAT from customers every day, his only legitimate complaint is that he now has to do the collection of vat. Unlike many business, he is raking in the dough and has been for many years; he should take a walk in the shoes of the average Bahamian. Due tell Mr Roberts where you have remitted any vat from your own pocket, I call bs on the whining!
If you wan't to blame the political parties blame the people, one for voting them in, and two for not running as candidates. What do we need either of these political parties for, lets elect a house full of independents, they can vote on legislation, perhaps we will actually get representation. Perhaps with the end of these two parties we can get a break from corruption.
As for the children, clearly those that care , work to make a difference in their own kids; simply put, like in many issues that should seriously concern citizens, the masses don't care. If they did, things would be different.
To solve a problem you have to admit and accept that you have one; the poor education system and crime are just two symptoms of a failing society. If the masses of parents were decent people, so would their children be. But when the masses are just ignorant, fat lazy, self entitled slobs, this is what you get! Harsh language, and could be said much better, but the reality of our society is much more harsh in outcome than anything I have said.
Our country is like any other, we have a percentage who care (perhaps it's as high as 20%), but we have a great majority that only concern themselves with what they perceive to be their own best interests or worse their indulgences, and these same people will not endeavour to work towards the country's future. The majority of our people are SH##.
Morals don't come from a church or from a government via legislation, they come from within; the proof is we have many churches and too much government, both riddled with their own form of corruption and neither can change our country. The important and necessary qualities come from within; if an when the masses decide to become upstanding hard working and moral people, then and only then will there be change. All the talk in the world won't do anyone any good without this!
Try getting rid of the corruption, collusion and give the working man a chance. Between big business in collusion/corruption with government, there is not a dollar left to give the masses a chance.
Competition can't exist where you have the "big business & Government" colluding in a rigged game. Small business can't get in the door, and big business wants it all, and they need another million like they need a hole in the head.
