Nobody has yet said where the money for this fantasy development will come from. So far all the money has disappeared down a rathole. They flash Tiger Woods' name around, but he's just laying out the fantasy golf course, which will never be built.
It is happening again. Although not rich and famous like the earlier generation, longtime expat homeowners on Eleuthera are putting their property on the market and fleeing in droves. They are tired of paying all the freight to support the island, being bled dry and treated like dirt.
Same problem in the Out Islands. On Eleuthera, people will start a garbage dump alongside the road, even in a settlement, just 'cause they too lazy to go to the dump, only 2 miles away. They dump garbage everywhere. I been to poorer countries in Central America that aren't this bad. Are Bahamians really the filthiest people on earth?
With the tail number, as posted below, it took me 2 minutes to learn that the plane is registered to a corporation in Delaware and the flight originated from Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport. I guess the Trib reporter was just to busy playing with his cell phone to bother.
No, they don't. The police can withhold names until charged, but there is no reason not to release nationalities, point of origin, destination, etc. Lazy reporting. Lazy.
In a sane political environment, the members of Parliament from the Out Islands would form a cross-party political block to lobby for fair support for their islands. But we know this won't happen. Example: Central Eleuthera is represented by a Nassau PLP lawyer who does not live on Eleuthera, is not from the island, seldom visits, and shows virtually no concern for Eleuthera or its people. And we wonder why the Out Islands are struggling?

How did he have a 19-year career if he is just 33 years old? He seems to have played about 6 years of MLB, joining the Braves in 2011.
Regardless, why say in the headline that he has "struck out"? I would hardly call his achievements a "strikeout".
