Resign? Why? If my memory serves me correctly, the Bahamian people voted Perry Christie and the PLP into power with an unprecedented landslide victory. It's my understanding that when people vote for you, they want you. Perry Christie and his government aren't doing anything that WE the people haven't empowered them to do. As Bahamians we sit back and criticize government personnel for the state of our country, when the truth is, we're the ones to blame (simply because WE put them in power). This isn't the first time that Perry Christie has bungled the affairs of our country. Yet, the Bahamian people flocked the polling divisions and voted for him and his party in mass numbers. Now the reality and gravity of our situation has began to sink in and now we must all acknowledge the fact that our country is pretty- much doomed.
I personally don't fault Perry Christie and his government though. When the Bahamian people displayed how senseless and short- sighted they were, I think that's when Perry and his party decided that they could easily take advantage of us. My grandfather often taught me, "when you find a jackass, you ride it". So I guess that's what Perry and his party are doing.

If Branville McCartney and his DNA party can continue establishing competent political associates capable of representing the various constituencies, they certainly deserve an opportunity to serve as government. Not only will this bring a breath of fresh air to the Bahamas; but it would also send a clear and coherent message to the FNM and PLP who have both proven hapless, impotent, incapable, and uncaring. Bran and the DNA deserve serious consideration.

I think Bran realizes that his DNA party won't win the 2017 nor 2022 elections.
But I think he also realizes that he may be viewed as a savior in 2027 after the PLP and FNM are done ruining the country (if they already haven't).
I'm surprised to see that we are so quick to disregard Branville McCartney as a potential leader; especially after bearing witness to Perry Christie and Hubert Ingrahm's methods of governing. Our country has coded and we're currently on life support. Can we really intrust it to these two again? Don't be so quick to dismiss Bran and the DNA. He established a new record and influenced the outcome of the 2012 general elections the last time I checked.

I'm not foolish enough to vote for the FNM or PLP.
Only desperate Bahamians who rely on the government for sustenance go to the polls and vote for them. These deceitful politicians use and abuse the citizens of the this country thru bribery and hollow promises simply to align their own pockets. Every Bahamian knows that, yet they continue to endorse these crooks. These so called politicians give the people just enough to stay alive long enough to come back begging for more; like drug addicts. Think about it. The entire country is designed to strip it's citizens from controlling their own destiny by having them rely on the government for everything. I thank God that I don't directly fall under this category simply because I'm employed outside of the country. But on the other hand, I'm outraged by the fact that I cannot sensibly and prudently invest in my own country because thieves, idiots, liars and crooks are running it. So I don't blame you for giving up a long time ago.

Well it's easy to sit back and criticize the government, as well as the opposition. But it's more difficult to devise solutions and establish practical means of alleviating the current problems that exist in this country.
You're almost right about one thing though! Both the PLP and FNM are equally responsible for the state of our nation. But you're missing the most critical component of all which is "we the people". WE are the ones who place them in power. WE give them free reign to make every idiotic decision that they've ever made simply by walking into our individual polling divisions an doing nonsense. All of us know full well that the PLP and FNM are full of crap, yet every five years we get intoxicated by our emotions and ride the winds of propaganda to the point where we are not thinking critically. As a result, we do stupidness only to sober-up in the end and find these very same politicians laughing at us while smoking their cigar. So I ask you... who's the fool? The people... or the politicians who benefit from our stupidity? I think the answer is obvious.
