Lol. I'm not sure what the Bahamian equivalent is...... but HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Acountability Act) does not allow the hospital to publicly disclose the facts surrounding an autopsy report. Not unless given permission by the family.

However, you still have made a valid point. Where are the follow-up briefings to all of these investigations??? They all end with "police are investigating." And that's the last we ever hear of it!

And he's a PhD???
I'm not sure where this guy did his fellowship or his graduate studies..... but he certainly makes all of us look bad. Any toxicologist with a background in epidemiology or biochemistry should know that gasoline components such as alkenes, benzene, alkanes and other aromatics can lay undetectable in ground water supplies and aquifers in small trace amounts. And the only way to detect these chemicals is thru extensive (long-term) testing. Just ask the Center for Disease Control (CDC). They spend millions of dollars per year testing ground water for potential contaminants.

This guy is full of crap, and he knows it. But then again, he's only following the lead of Jerome Fitzgerald and the PLP Government. They're paying him to tell them exactly what they want to hear.

The least they could have done was to place the residence of Marathon on a "boil-order" for the next few months while they conducted further testing. But I guess that Jerome Fitzgerald and the PLP decided that this was way too expensive and the people of Marathon weren't worth it.
Ah well. Serves them right. They're the ones who voted for him. Hope they have good insurance. Carcinogenesis is difficult to treat.

Congratulations!!!
You've made us very proud!!!

Unless it has to do with moral, spiritual, or religious affairs... I think that all men of the cloth should refrain from an involvement in politics. Furthermore..... the church has its own issues that require immediate attention. Many believers are losing confidence in the church, Mr. Hall. That's where you should concentrate your focus. Set your heart, mind and efforts on restoring the Saints.

Im no big fan of Kenred Dorsett... but at least it doesn't seem as if he attempted to hide this information from the general public (even though it may have been a black-eye for his government). Thank you for being honest, Mr. Dorsett!

Now go and initiate the legal paperwork necessary to fine Rubbish (Rubis)! They need a hefty fine, and the government could use the money!

"Turnquest Backs Decision to Delay VAT on Bridge Toll Fees????" Seriously????

VAT should have never been implemented in the first place! When the delegates from New Zealand recommended that our government considered using VAT; one of the first things that they insisted upon was that a "freedom of information act" be put in place so that the citizens of the Bahamas could evaluate and assess the manner in which their tax dollars were being spent! However, Prime Minister Perry Christie and his PLP conveniently ignored this portion of the recommendation, and initiated VAT in the manner they saw fit!! This is criminal to say the least!!

And with this knowledge in mind.... this is all Peter Turnquest has to say on the matter??? What kind of nonsense is this????

Cobalt says...

Mr Bradley Roberts..... please shut the hell up.

Your PLP party used the crime crisis to serve their political interest as well! You plastered our streets with crime billboards implicating that the FNM was responsible for the high crime rate, just to score political points! You and your scandalous government aired our dirty laundry for the entire world to see, all in an effort to undermine the government, and take power!
Do you think that we've forgotten about this??? I've told you before..... not all of us Bahamians are stupid.

Lol lol lol
That's a good one!

Yes, Mr. Christie...... we all hope that the resort comes on stream asap. However, in this case, hope and optimism is an indulgence that we cannot afford at this time.

What the Bahamas really needs at this time is for you to dissolve parliament and you and your party step down. It would be the honorable thing to do. Place your pride and ego aside for the greater good of the country and abdicate your position as PM. You have proven to the entire nation that you are not equipped nor capable of handling the complex task of governing our country. Don't get me wrong..... you are a very nice man..... however, this is not a popularity contest. It's obvious that you do not possess the leadership qualities nor the resolve needed to propel our country into the 21st century.

In fairness to you, Mr. Christie, leading a third world country is an extremely difficult task for one to undertake. And to be perfectly honest..... it's not an obligation that I personally would want to have. Nevertheless, you and your PLP party campaigned under the promise that you had practical solutions to our problems. You even went as far as to blame the FNM for the nation's crime crisis. You played on the ignorance of everyday Bahamians who operated in staunch stupidity when they voted you and your PLP into office. How ironic is it, that now these very same people find themselves unemployed; the victims of senseless crime; and the burden bearers of a new tax system that you and your party initiated? Could it be that the masses of Bahamian people are getting exactly what they deserve? Nonetheless, you have failed. And it's not fair to us (few) sensible, intelligent Bahamians who possess the ability to critically think and assess our country's situation, to suffer with the masses of fools because of their own inability to exercise prudence.

For our sake, please step down. I beg you.
