What the hell is everyone talking about???? Has everyone forgotten that this is the same Robert Sands who promised the entire Bahamas that Bahamar was going to open on time???? Has everyone forgotten that when it DIDN'T open on time, this same Robert Sands went in hiding and refused to comment on the issue???? Now all of a sudden he emerges again making more guarantees related to Bahamar??? Please! This mans word doesn't count for two cents! Everything Mr. Turnquest is saying is true! But he is being more generous in words than I would be!
Furthermore....... The Bahamas isn't really an attractive tourist market anymore. The island is crime-ridden, filthy, and the electricity company can't sustain power to the island! Who wants to spend thousands of dollars to stay at a resort where there's no power or electricity? Does this government not realize that those guest staying at Atlantis during the recent black-out have already informed their friends and colleagues about the negative experience in the Bahamas?
This country can't sustain electricity as it is! So how can Bahamar and Robert Sands be making more assurances and promises when they haven't delivered on any of their last promises, and BEC is in shambles?
Tell people the truth!!! Bahamar is doomed to failure, and the Bahamas is a complete mess!!
Ok..... so let me get this straight....... When a politician gets sick, they seek medical attention at Doctors Hospital. And when the average citizen gets ill, their only recourse is PMH. Yet, these very same politicians expect us to believe that they possess complete confidence in the healthcare delivery system at PMH.
If that's the case.... then why don't exercise the public health system that they're constantly endorsing??? I dare say the answer is obvious! These worthless, crooked ass, politicians know that PMH is well below sub-standard!! How the hell can you promote a product that you refuse to use!!! These politicians are so full of shit until its not even funny!! Mother Pratt included!!
She claims to be a woman of the people, yet when her own well being is at stake, she abandons her guise as a grass-root supporter and seeks medical assistance from those deemed to have better medical resources!! What a hypocrite!!
"Customers may say cost reduction in July bill????" I'm assuming that there's a typo and the Tribune actually means "see a cost reduction." Either way it doesn't matter. Nothing that this government promises ever comes to fruition. Empty promises after empty promises.
Furthermore...... didn't Leslie Miller promise a reduction in electricity bill sometime last year? Still waiting.
Do you really think that any government personnel is ademently trying to uncover a bribery scandal???????
Please..... don't make me laugh. All of them are guilty of taking bribes at some point or the other. And if that's not the case they..... they are close friends and colleagues with someone who has. As a matter of fact.... Hubert Ingraham never fully gave an explanation as to the alleged bribe taken by Earl Deveaux when he took a chartered helicopter ride to Exuma! To this day we're still waiting for full disclosure.
Actually...... it is the Bahamian people and the way we operate that is the problem. Think about it....... Bahamian politicians are pulled from a pool of Bahamian citizens known to most of us. Politicians are nothing more than an extension of the Bahamian people. The same dishonest, scandalous, incompetent, disgraceful practices that our government is known for, is actually pulled from a reservoir of habitual methods and practices that are common place in Bahamian culture.
Bahamian people are just as dishonested as the crooked government representing them. That's why we "the people" will never see change in our country even when we change governments! All of our practices, mode of operation, and thinking (or lack there of), are identical.
Until the citizens of the Bahamas change; we will never see any change in our country! Mark my word.
This man can't be serious. I thought Perry Christie was the king of talking nonsense. But this Bradley Roberts character certainly takes the cake. I've never heard more foolishness in my life. Who does this man think he's talking to??? Don't insult our intelligence!
