In most of the Family Islands there are no testing facilities. However the Ministry requires that all visitors to the Bahamas must be tested 5 days after arrival. Therefore most of the family islands are off limits for any visitors These Bahamians are going to have a pretty rough Xmas this year.

Problem #1; Insufficient rapid testing.
The Ministry approved PCR test involves a 4 to 6 hour wait in a queue, 2 to 6 days for a result with the expectation that you may get a false positive. This is not a way of solving the Bahamas problem
The ABBOTT antigen rapid test ($5) takes 15 minutes and yields a result immediately.60, The test is approved in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, etc,etc
60,000 of these kits are presently being delivered to business owners in Nassau who want to know if their workers will work..
We must know who is safe and who is not, ASAP!!

The basic problem is the shameful absence of COVID19 rapid testing equipment that takes 15 minutes for a negative/positive report and costs $5/kit. This procedure is authorized in the USA, Canada, Australia and the UK.
The alternative is 6 hours in a lineup and 2 days to get a report using the PCR method that the Ministry prefers.
Without this rapid testing, the 5 day test rule will cause total destruction of the family islands for visitors as well as Nassau's economy and children's schooling

1.Covid test 7 days before travel.
2.Covid RAPID test on arrival
3.Covid TEST 5 days after arrival only at Official Ports of Entry...…. NOT possible at majority of family islands until self adminitered rapid testing (15 minutes) is authorized, otherwise family islands are dead as tourist destinations!
get rapid covid antigen testing authorized as it is in the rest of the world!

What you going to do when it gets cloudy or there is no wind?.
Wind turbines last about 12 years, where are you going to bury these elephants?
And what about the toxic chemicals in solar panels when you bury them?
And what about corrosion of solar panels due to salt air?
Are you able to pay double for renewable power?

How about a few FACTS, please.
1. Six deep oil tests have already been completed offshore in the Bahamas with no environmental conseqence reported!
.2. We are not threatened by climate change. The seas are not rising (check tidal gauges) and there is a lot of evidence that we are entering a global cooling period. Ice accumulations have increased over the North Pole and Greenland!
We are however threatened with fake environmental news
Who are these "environmental guardians of the Bahamas" and how did they get the right to fear-monger in the media.
Solar and wind power alternatives to fossil fuels are not reliable or economic and are not environmentally satisfactory.

Be advised that 7 offshore holes have already been drilled in the Bahamas, some to almost 20,000'. no consequences.
Enough fear-mongering!
