The sky is falling. The sky is falling! The claims of climate change are greatly exaggerated. For example, sea level rise is miniscule as implied by so many people (like Obama) building homes close to shore.. check the tidal gauges. Note to BNT stop watching CNN to get real news..
The PM says that there is one covid death per day or 365 deaths in one year. Last year 2476 Bahamians died, a great number from the flu. So COVID fatality rate is only 1/6 of "normal". .Maybe the very high infection rate means that the PCR testing is far too sensitive; mr albury has it right!
Regarding reliability and economy, wind and solar power are uncompetitive to the use of fossil fuels or nuclear power. Almost all electrical power is generated by burning fossil fuels.....electric vehicles get there power from burning fossil fuels. No country on this planet can survive unless it has access to cheap energy
Hm, according to the PM there is one death per day due to the virus+other causes such as diabetes, etc that is 365 deaths in one year! Last year 2500 Bahamians died.. THATS 7 x greater. That's good news for those with hysteria. Now lets find out the percentage of false positives with this very very sensitive PCR testing
The Parliament of the Bahamas enacted the Petroleum Bill, 2014 which provides for the exploration and production of petroleum in a safe manner. So far 7 test wells have been drilled without incident.
Joeblow you miss the point! All prospective Canadian tourists want to come to the bahamas but they find it too difficult to meet the 5 day rule because Canada does not have an effective COVID19 testing capacity to enable people to get tested, send report to the Ministry and get permission to enter in 5 days! The 5 day rule is too high a barrier and needs to be lowered. There is also the news that the present PCR test method is far too sensitive and results in many false positive results, both in Canada and in the Bahamas, further cutting the number of tourists.
The NYT report explains why the huge number of "reported cases" (positive tests on people who show no symptoms) may be grossly exaggerated! The present test is far too sensitive .It is still in development according to the experts.
