I would think that on June 06, 2012 we would have had a public statement from the Prime Minister on the state of murders in the country; condemning acts of violence, assuring justice and calming the deathly fears of the nation. But rather than this, the PM resorts to old political talks. Campaign is over Mr. Christie, this is our lives and the lives of our children that are in your hands now and no disrespect Sir, but we are getting seriously concerned with your government.
My God Mr. Bell looks like a big "Non-Smart" person. Why Bell, why? Why you gone let politics blind you and allowed yourself to become a political mule? Now, rather than starting off your political career with a big bang, you started with a big bummer. First impressions are lasting and history will now record you in the same category as Picewell Forbes, Shane Gibson and Leslie Miller - people whose loose mouths caused them national shame and disgrace.
Sounds about correct. They mad because they were relying on that cookie jar and now find out that there is no jar. Oops. Gatta go find a score some place else. hahahaha!!!
Here Mr. Miller goes again calling black Bahamians stupid. Only a stupid person would be satisfied with such an idiotic explanation. "Ok, they not black and stupid for following the FNM, they black and stupid for following white people." Congratulations Mr. Miller, you went from denigrating black Bahamians to making racial slurs against white people. You on a roll now. This 100 Day Challenge is truly accomplishing a lot for this government.
Well blow me down. I thought Obie Wilchombe got on the national media during the campaign trail and said that tourism was at its worst. I sure hope someone publicly apologizes to Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace.
No wonder the criminals are running amuck in this country, the national security leaders too busy talking politics. Mr. Bell, your officers getting shot in their necks, shot in wash houses, people dying all over the streets and you talking about election bribes without presenting any facts. Is this all that you were brought in Cabinet for? get serious!!!
If divisive means that someone actually has the guts to disagree with the PLP, then I stand guilty as well. If destructive means that someone has the courage to expose the truth which differs from that being purported by the PLP, again I am guilty as charged. If ignorance means blindly following every word being fed to me by politicians, for that Sir, I am a fugitive. Mr. Rollins has neither earned nor deserved his position in the hallowed halls of the House of Assembly. He entered on the coat tail of a political party that he only a year ago vehemently spoke against. I read no anger, division or destruction in the editorial - just straight facts. It is the facts that hurt DPratt and it is facts that create the hallmark of true journalism.
Mr Prime Minister believes that he and his party leaders are the only people in the Bahamas with a brain. Mr. PM, if the deficit is so high, why would you want to borrow another $500 Million? Then Mr. Prime Minister, when things get worse you will only blame it on the previous government. Also, isn't it great that the PLP now has the "perfect" excuse to not fulfill the list of bogus promises - blame it on the financial dilemma left behind by the FNM. Us educated people expect more. If you say that you will be ready from DAY ONE it meant that you already had a full grasp of everything going on and you can take the mantle from there. Is the PLP admitting that the shadow ministers, were not shadowing as they said they were. Weren't the PLP a part of House of Assembly meetings when budgets were being presented or is the PLP admitting to being disconnected. Maybe the government is playing a game with the information it is putting out to the people to make it appear that things are so bad that gambling and oil drilling are the only other alternatives in order to sustain the country. Whatever it is, something is going on, because the figures being present now, so do add up. I refuse to be a fool for the government. Present facts and less talk.
Just two weeks on the job and the Ministry of Travel, sorry I meant Foreign Affairs, already on the move with an entourage. Very interesting. I guess budget deficits are not a top priority after all.
