i think the PM needs to put a muzzle on the hounds he has around him if he expects for the protesters to take seriously his call for dialog. When you have this Dorsett person calling protesters arrogant, that Miller character castigating and vilifying Henfield and that Mitchell joker forbidding PLP's from marching among other things, one can't help but think that our PM is either a hypocrite or has no control over members of his cabinets and other PLP's. I don't known what is worst!!!
Keep the pressure on. March and protest until change is made. You have my support!!!
This is a perfect example of the governing party using public funds to finance their political campaign. There is only one reason they want to conduct this probe at this time, an indirect campaigning ploy. Right thinking people will see right through it. It's unfortunate that there are so many people out there who would actually buy this line of BS that the Gibson fella is pushing. Again a very creative way to use public monies to fund their campaign!!!
The carnival organizers were basically paid to party, that's according to one of the organizers!! Meanwhile the hurricane Joaquin victims still are suffering. Now they say is was never meant to be profitable. The government must think we are all idiots! i guess we are when we let them get away with this type of thing
I think their automatic transfer switches would take care of that particular problem. But even if that was the issue, those infamous surge protectors would not solve that problem either.
its funny to see something so banal as surge protectors making headlines! i agree with Minnis in that the PM really should check his facts. Had he checked he would have found out that surge protectors are installed all over the Critical Care Block. He must have been terribly misinformed. Which brings up another question, did a surge really caused the damage or some other issue with the building? It seems this incident has been misdiagnosed and will probably happen again. Hope they bought plenty spare compressors and bought with tax payers hard earned money.
Fred Mitchel and Jerome Fitzgerald are such cowards. If they are so sure of their assessment of STB, step outside of Parliament and make those claims. I therefore take all their claims with a grain of salt. This is not a fair fight, private citizens having to defend themselves against MP's who have Parliamentary privilege and access to all the resources of the various government agencies on their side and no doubt access to information that they should not have access to. They justify their actions by making a totally baseless claim that STB is not an environmental protection group but a group whose aim is to destabilize the government. True cowards of the highest order!!!
Spot on Adrian. What a bunch of amateurs there are in the FNM. They allowed the spin doctors in the PLP to turn a utterly repugnant controversy into a situation where the FNM has to defend itself. The height of incompetence!! The PLP's should be on their heels now, instead they have made a laughing stock of the whole FNM leadership. The opposition has a very sacred role to play, to keep the governing party in check and they falling down on the job!!. This is especially case, considering the current PLP, a party full of people in possession of the Dark Triad!!
My my what a sad state our Bahamaland is in right now!!!. A totally impotent opposition and a government that is running the country in a such way that would get the approval of Niccolò Machiavelli.
Part of the problem is we dont enforce the laws of this country. Every women i know is terrified of living in Nassau. When you have a PM who is prublicly budy budy with people who made their money via crimimal activities, i.e. wedshop owners, we truely have no hope.
