All the idiots, oops I mean our "leaders", had to do was to allow the chapter 11 process to proceed and the development would open before Christmas. Anyone who knows anything about this project knows that CCA is a disaster and is the sole cause of this problem. Had they met their contractural obligations the resort would be opened. The idiots, oops I mean our "leaders" are just too dense to see this. God help us.
Even with all the construction oversight Baha Mar had on the Chinese they still major issues with quality. Can you imagine the quality issues they will have on this project if they have no one to account to.
It looks like the same Chinese team that attempted to to build Baha Mar are going to attempt to build this project. I hope there will be independent people monitoring the quality of work and making sure they meet the schedule. God help them!!
I wonder if they conduct psych test on cabinets members. If they don't perhaps that should, based upon their words and actions. Where do they come up with stuff from. These people should not be in leadership positions in our precious countries.
This is madness!! What in the world do accountants know about construction? The PM and his cohorts are being ruled by hubris, arrogance, emotion and ignorance. This is the worst cause of action. We all know what the jurisdcition argument against the chapter 11 ruling is all about. Fees!!. Yes the local lawyers and accounts stand to make 10's of millions on this mess. While the local contractors, vendors and others who are owed money are left holding the bag. Let this man finish the project. It is 97% complete!! Let him spend the $400 mil he promised with the local contractors. Can you imagine the affect on the local construction industry? The jobs created and the affect on the local economy. PM please seek some good advise and start making good decisions!!!
Perry gotta be a man and stand to up to the Chinese and tell CCA go home and stop this winding up nonsense. That way Baha Mar can spend the $400mil they promised with the local contractors to complete the work. An injection of that much cash in the local economy would be a tremendous boost for a lagging economy and create hundreds of jobs. That's the best course of action here but Perry don't have the cahouners to take that approach.
Big Bad Brad strikes again. LMAO!! While watching him on Cable 12 news last night read the statement he seemed more angry than usual. And the whole washing clothes comment was hilarious. D’Aguilar must have struck a raw nerve with him, the PLP and the govement. Good job keep it up!!
Considering the project is 97% complete I don't buy the argument that it was too big to be done at once. The project is very close to completion and has been that way for sometime. All that is needed is for the developer to be allowed to complete. Some other forces are at work here. Perhaps you are right in regards to the Chinese having ulterior motives. That I agree with.
Why is the PM and his cohorts so hell bent on ousting Baha Mar? Is it hubris or may out of control ego? Perhaps its pure ignorance and lack of understanding of the real situation. Baha Mar wants CCA out and I can understand why. CCA is yet to prove they are wiiling or able to complete the project. They are main reason the resort isn't open yet. Its amazing to see the PM, AG and others in the government glazing over that fact. Let the local contractors complete the project.

Way to go CBB. Keep the heat on. We need more of these types of advocacy groups. This FOIA is sorely needed in the corrupt little country of ours.
